Hiya Furrypig - how do you go about joining in these challenges? Its just that I've actually just made a 'wedding card' so thought I might give it a go! thanks x
Hi sorry was unable to get on mse last night after my 11 hours at work!!
the challenge at Creative Card Crew is weekly and has prob ended today so sorry I didn't see this yesterday the website is here hope that helps! Would love to see your wedding card as I found it quite hard not having made one before.0 -
Hi all am after a quick bit of advice lease, I am makin cards etc for the schools summer fair. I have a craft stall what i am wondering is would you put a seniment and insert inside all the cards or leave them blank? Bear in mind I won't be able to charge more than £1 for any of them . Opinions wanted please!!!
Happy belated 40th skiergirl!!!!!
I personally would leave them blank inside but that is just my opinion, would save you some extra time and money. Good luck with the craft stall let us know how it all goes.0 -
Louby- both my babies had chickenpox about 6 weeks ago. Baking soda baths helped them tremendously (they had several a day if needed) as did aloe vera gel.
I hope your little one feels better soon.
Rusty: have you received your Magnolias? I bought them too but haven't received them and am getting a bit worried.
Finally, we have our piglets!!! :j:T:j:T
They're on my blog: http://justbecauseitmakesmesmile.blogspot.com/
Wow I am so jealous!! Bangers and Mash are gorgeous! I wish I lived nearer as I would be round your house all the time!! (Bet you're glad I don't live near you now!!) Can't wait to see more pics of them please keep us updated with how it all goes.0 -

I tell you you really find out who your friends are and i wish i could replace my real friends with you lot in real life. You know only 2 of my real friends have bothered to congratulate me on being pg and have asked how i am. Considering all my friends know my medical history i am shocked. One of my closest friends who was my bridemaid but i don't see her that often now hasn't even bothered to send a txt let alone a phone call. You ladies are such a great bunch.
Just on my way to the docs sons fingers look infected so he needs some antiboitics.
What a lovely thing to say Louby lou lou bless you! I think I chat more to people online and here than I do to my 'real' friends. We love pregnancies on here just look at how we have stalked Melissa75 during hers!!! I really hope your son feels better soon xxx0 -
Dragonflew - great cards - I love how you've customised the plane, and I love your big organza bow on the rabbit card.
Louby Lou-Lou - sorry to hear about your little one. Both of mine had chicken pox last year but they didn't suffer to badly with it. I can recommend the bicarbonate of soda in his bath water - it's meant to help with the itching - it worked wonders on my two. I too was pregnant when my two caught it - I went to the doctors and they did a blood test to make sure everything was okay because I had never had it before and was worried I would catch it. Turned out that I was immune to it - the doctor said I had probably had it before but had had no symptoms. Sorry your freinds aren't being more supportive - if you want to chat you know where I am - I can share any bargains that I find with you!!! Your xmas card is gorgeous - really classy, and your altered box is fab! I can't believe how many toppers you've made - you're super organised!!!
Skiergirl - happy belated birthday.
Rusty - great cards - I too love your nesties!!! Sounds like a great idea having a few cards spare in case you ever need one in a hurry!
Flourgirl - great challenge card - really pretty shades of purple, and your basic grey card is gorgeous - I love your layering.
Bunbun - lovely anniversary card - I really like your embossing and the image is so cute!!!
Jailhousebabe - sorry you've been feeling down!!
Rainmac - your cards look fab - how long is it now until your fair???0 -
My new Alota stamps arrived yesterday from America - it only took about two weeks so I am quite impressed. I quickly attached the cling-on stuff to them and stamped loads of images - so hopefully I'll be making some different cards soon!
Some of my brothers-in-law came round yesterday, the oldest one asked if he could "do some colouring!!". I showed him my promarkers ages ago and he was impressed as he's into manga drawings. He sat there in my kitchen and coloured in some of my stamped images and was later joined by another of my OH's brothers - they looked so funny sat there huddled around my magnolia images trying to decide what colours to use.
Well - only 2 1/2 weeks to go now until my due date!!! I keep thinking that I'm going into labour as I'm getting a lot of back pain. I'm worried that my waters are going to break when I'm on the bus collecting Brandon from school. They never broke with the other two so I'm wondering whether they will this time. I must admit i'm getting scared now that its getting nearer, my OH wants me to wait until my due date so that Elliot will be a Leo like he is.0 -

Well this morning i stopped at a little craft shop near where i live. Ive been trying to find white glitter card for my Christmas card. Last night i found some on ebay. But thought there was no harm in trying.. They had some and had a sale on a few bits and bobs. I bought a versa colour stamp pad for £1.49 a few charms for 15p each.
Then i went to Wilco and bought some more things to alter
So i think i am having a crafty day today
Just wanted to say that anyone can get shingles if they have had chicken pox. Uusually happens if someone has a low immune system ie run down. It is a reactivation of the virus in the nerves so you don't get spots everywhere like in chicken pox it follows a nerve pathway. It is still infectious ie someone who has not had chicken pox can catch it from someone with shingles you cannot catch shingles! It can also be incredibly painful and specialist painkillers are often needed.
Anyway also wanted to say what fab bargains choccy! I am glad to hear that you are actually putting some of your many craft purchases to good use and can't wait to see your creations on your blog! Hope you have had a fab crafting day!0 -
Hi everyone and thank you for all the birthday wishes. We went to York for a few days but I have an IOU for a break to Barcelona when my health improves
I've had 25 pages to catch up on , so please forgive me for not mentioning anyone individually, I'll just say well done everyone for some fantastic cards.
I hope anyone who's ill or got poorly littlelys that they feel better soon.
Can someone confirm for me as I've got a fuddled brain, that the challenge on here is a christmas one ? Does it end next monday ?
