thanks for the well wishes for my ds came back from the doc with tons of med and cream the chicken pox is getting infected. He is being really good and not really scratching though. i think my friends think i will just loose this one like last time and don't know what to say they were pretty hopeless when it all happened i only had my hubby to talk to. But if they bothered to txt, ring or see me they would find out i am 4 months gone and all is ok at the moment.

Anyway got some crafting done this pm while ds had a nap. Am i right in thinking this week challenge is xmas? well i did a quick one anyway. Basically just had to stick it all on a card as i make toppers for xmas though the year so i don't have so much to do all at once.

Gorgeous christmas card Louby I love how you have put the fibres behind the tree topper. you sound super organised making your topper throughout the year. You have some fab cards on your blog too. I will leave you a comment.
Your little boy will soon be feeling much better now he has the proper medicine and creams it sounds quite painful if its infected poor thing. You must take care of yourself too and don't go over doing it.

I seem to be falling further and further behind; I display 40 posts to a page, and had 7 pages to catch up on!
Louby - I love your Christmas card entry. Do you really make your own toppers? They look amazing! I know what you mean about virtual friends on this forum being better than ‘real world’ friends. I know a couple of people who’ve lost someone close and they’ve told me stories of people they know actually crossing the road to avoid having to speak to them! After this weekend, I would be quite happy to never see my best friend again. L Hope your LO feels better soon x
npsmama - your piglets are so cute. :)
bunbun - I love the image on your anniversary card, it's very apt.
popkins – it’s very easy to enter a challenge. They all tell you what you need to do and when you need to enter by. Creative Card Crew are currently asking people to enter via a comment with html tags; they give you an example of what you need to type to make it link to your card. If you don’t have a blog (sorry, I can’t remember if you have one or not!) then they often give you an email address to mail your entry to.
qwiksave – I might try to get to that exhibition. It’s nice and handy for me – I live just by the A46, not far from the roundabout that links it to the A45.

Sorry for the long post – and apologies for not commenting on all the cards I’ve missed! I’ve managed to comment on some blogs. I’ve spent the last 2 days just crying and feeling sorry for myself, so no new cards to post just yet. I have a little extra money from a weekend that ended prematurely, so I’m thinking I might treat myself. I can’t decide whether to go for nestabilities or a Martha Stewart border punch though.

yep i make all my own toppers here is my stash so far. A lot are left over from last year but some i have done this year. Some are made from xmas stickers and bits cut off old cards that i just mat and layer then add gems, snow, peel off etc but most of them are made from scratch. I need to be organised around that time with an xmas baby on it's way.

P7070030-1.jpg In the pic there is some large squares which are fabric toppers. last year i went mad for xmas fabric i went into a fabric shop and the lady had made a fabric card so i bought panels of fabric for 50p bargain she used foam to pad them out but i didn't want to spend any more money and i had roll of cotton wool left over from when i had ds, she sewed hers up with a plain panel of fabric on the back making a very small cushion. I do not sew and it seemd too much messing aroung for me when it was just going into an aperture card and you wouldn't see the back so i just stuck it all to a thin piece of card with my strong clue that you can use on fabric.

I'm really impressed louby-lou-lou! I've always used old xmas cards for gift tags; think I might get a bit more adventurous this year. You've also given me an idea for the xmas challenge ...

popkins - I've just found your blog. :) I love your nappy cakes and your wordle cards.

I've managed to get back onto CP this morning (had to delete all of my cookies, again). I did make a card for the last challenge but wasn't able to upload it. :(
Saveapenny - I'm definitely going to make a card for the July challenge and post it this week!
Rusty - I'm glad you've extended the date for your altered challenge. I still haven't decided what I'm going to alter, but I'm sure I'll find something. :)

BunBun - Beautiful card, What papers are the cherubs from? you said basic grey but which pack? I haven't got them ones I don't think :( Hope your DS is feeling a bit better today??

Louby - love the christmas card, very impressive, I haven't started mine yet! Not sure what to do in all honesty :( I did try the first day but it went horribly wrong so I need to make another one! Hope your little one had some sleep last night and isn't too bad today?

JHB - Nice to see you back :) I reckon you should decide quickly so you can get either your nesties or you punch ordered and then you have something to cheer you up! Sending you big hugs. xx

I am still waiting on my funky kits pack. It was the sugar nellie suprise stamp pack, and I also ordered a gorjuss girl aswell, thing is I haven't had it so phoned her after 10 days and she asked me to wait til 15 cause she can't put in a claim from royal mail ... I emailed her on friday as thursday was 15 days and I haven't had an email back from them! Not sure if I am supposed to wait until she puts in a claim but that could take ages!!! I have to admit that is the first time I have used them and after this probably the last! I can't see how they can take my money and not send a second order or refund when I still haven't had the item!!!

So to cheer myself up I bought the lets make cards magazine this morning in morrisons so now have mr men stash :D

Thanks to choccy leading me astray the night before last I was in bed at 8pm :rotfl: I had a glorious 11 hours sleep and feel ready and fighting fit to tackle the world ... I even did some ironing last night ;)

Hopefully will have some time to make some more cards today :) watch this space :)
