JHB he called me at 7:50am to let me know he had arrived safely and to swear because of all of the speed cameras along the way (not that he drives like jenson button or anything ) he then txt me at 3pm to remind me to pick up DS (he has been doing it for the last 5 months :rotfl:) and then sent me a couple of texts to ask if he is to expect a box with a 2 year old DD in tomorrow of if she has behaved :rotfl: he finished at 6:30 but then had to go find the hotel etc etc so he will call later on unless he falls asleep, he is knackered bless him
Hope you are feeling better soonYour blog looks fab!! has it had a makeover or have I just not noticed the decor before??
Love both of the cards!!! guiness one is fab!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Thanks Rusty
Haven't changed the blog - you must just've never noticed it before... too busy admiring my wonderful cards to notice the background:rotfl: rotfl:
Your poor hubby must be shattered. Oh, and I will sign up for your challenge on crafty place. Is there a deadline for it?
I also have to make a new baby card for my sister. Her due date was 2nd August, but she's been told that she'll almost certainly have to have a ceaserean so should arrive next month. I really want to do something special, but just can't find any inspiration anywhere. All suggestions will be gratefully received.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Rusty - love the pink card! Very clever and very effective to turn one of the layers round. Another idea I shall be 'borrowing' from this board!
Gemm - the mermaid is delightful-love the corners! I actually had a little tidy of my craft area at the weekend - I spent quite a long time caressing paper!
JHB - have to say I really love your style. The door hangers you made a simply stunning. I think I shall have a go for Christmas for my nieces but don't think I'll get close to them being as lovely as yours.
Well, I received this gorgeous gorjuss card this morning from Lei Armstrong - thanks Laura - I love it.
I've also succumbed and joined the pocket card club - and wow - aren't they fantastic. I did somehow fold it the wrong way and it wouldn't open properly so I stuck it on a card blank! Its on the blog and here for anyone else without the time for blog hopping! I have to admit I find it hard to fit in sometimes!0 -

lol probably, not sure why I suddenly noticed it today then?? strange! I apologise lol
My OH is having a fit ... he called for 35 mins to tell me all about it .... then he was going to warm up his food (I is a good housewife I packed him a home made chilli for his tea tonight) and then 20 mins later the phone rings ... he has left his coat and his phone charger
so I will either have no phone calls for the rest of the week or he needs to leave work earlier tomorrow to go find one in a shop and buy one! only prob is his phone isn't your everyday nokia ... it is quite hard and expensive to buy bits for
Look on Rainmacs blog, she made a lovely pram card from a scallop circle
Or you could attempt a bookatrix? that would be lovely
Leia - Beautiful card! really pretty.
MrsTidge - Welcome to the pocket card club :rotfl:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Rusty your pink card and fantasy card are gorgeous, well done
I had a quick pop over to crafty place earlier to check out your challenge, it's a great idea but I think I'll have to chicken out :rotfl:
I reckon you need to make your OH a packing checklist for sunday nights to avoid any future mishapsthat's what I'd do anyway... I know, I'm far too organized lol
Jailhouse sorry to hear you've been feeling awful, your guiness card is so perfect for a male :T the anya one is so summery and bright too, love it
Mrs Tidge your pocket card is lovely, I love the shiny blue brads (?) you've put in the corner and on each of the tags, gives it an extra little something0 -

Thanks Gemm
I have to post it tomorrow for him, but he is aiming to leave and pick up a new one anyway so he can have one in his camera bag for whilst he is away lol saves it happening again!!
Kim I lose that stamp!! where is it from?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Oh my! I {> my cuttlebug. It arrived today and my friend also arrived home from the US so I got my embossing folders too. Sadly, she struggled to find the swiss dots one which was the one I wanted the most but I have 4 lovely ones that I've been embossing with left right and centre. Think I'll use my points from the craft superstore to buy swiss dots and one other thing but I can't decide which.
I'll have a think whilst I go and have another play - am having a night off from scrapbooking tonight.0
