Rusty - I've signed up. I must be mad though as I find these "challenges" quite traumatic :rotfl:
Fab thankyou, i sometimes find the challenges traumatic aswell, but I figured it would take everyone out of their comfort zone and just recently I have tried to do this with my cards and they have turned out niceRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
That is so lovely of you :A Would you like to do it for the Fantasy challenge or maybe a challenge you set yourself?
Hi Rainmac - Can I supply it for the fantasy challenge. I would not sleep for days if I had to set the challenge. I have found the June Card Swap on CP traumatic enough :rotfl:0 -

Has anyone heard from Flourgirl? is she away? its not like her to not be here?? hope she is ok
When she sent me my prize for the sketch challenge she mentioned she was going away for a few days.0 -
I think Flourgirl is away but thought it was for the weekend......I hope she's OK & shoulder hasn't got worse.0

fab challenge Rusty not sure if I'm brave enough to take part!!
Awh do you really think he isn't the Stig then? There was something about the way he walked onto the stage made me think hmmm I'm not sure!
Gilrs I don't know how you manage with your partners away for so long! My OH goes away for 2 nights every month I hate it! I never sleep properly every noise I hear frightens me! I'm a big wimp!!:xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile0 -
Rusty - great idea for a different challenge - I've signed up, although I've no idea what I'm going to alter. Your pink card is really pretty - I love the way you've layered your papers.
I love it when my OH is absent - he went to stay in his Mum's house a few weeks ago when his Mum was away on holiday so that he could decorate her lounge. My house was so much cleaner and organised without him and I had loads more time for card making!!0 -
afternoon girlies, I've now made my fantasy challenge card and put it on my blog :T I hope mermaids qualify as fantasy! lol, thanks to Rusty for the image
having a nice relaxing day apart from the constant requests from OH and my grandad for drinks and snacks (they are doing the garden lol, but they are working hard so do deserve to be taken care of) so far I have made 2 cards, (I am a very slow cardmaker...) one of which is the fantasy one, and done some tidying up of my craft room and organizing my stash, I think I enjoy organizing it all as much as I enjoy actually making stuff :rotfl:
If flourgirl has gone away in the caravan for a few days, perhaps they have decided to stay on for longer if they are having good weather (as its such a rare occurence in the UK!!) I think she mentioned last time they went a few weeks ago it was a bit of a wash out?
As for OH's going away, it hardly ever happens but when he does I tend to get lonely, and I hate if I'm in the house alone and I see a spider that I have to deal with. if he's here I usually scream like a small child and he comes and gets it for melol

Gemm your card is so cute, I love the mermaid image!
Rusty your pink card is gorgeous!
x
Do many of you use wordle? I can't seem to get to grips with it!:xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile0 -
Gemm, what a gorgeous card, I really love it.
Rusty, love your pink card, the layering is fab and makes a huge difference.
EmOC, of course you can do the fantasty challenge, all you need to do is keep track of who has entered and pick a 'winner' at random. Thank you again, very lovely of you x
I too had noticed flourgirl not being here, hope she is off enjoying herself somewhere warm and sunny x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi all. I'm a bit behind with blogs, so will try to catch up with them over the next couple of days.
Rainmac - glad you enjoyed your holiday. Did you find any craft shops while you were away? Or were you banned from looking? lol. Did you sell your baby cards today? I thought they were lovely x
Rusty - that was an early start! I don't envy your husband having to do a full day at work after a drive like that. Has he called yet to let you know how it went?
EmmaOC - that's really good of you to offer a prize for the challenge. I'll have to get my thinking cap on for this one - talk about being outside of your comfort zone!
I managed to get my decluttering doneMy friend came round nice and early on Saturday and we managed to clear the front room almost completely, ready for the new floor to go down. I love her style of decluttering - she ended up taking a car full of things from my house to hers
I've been feeling pretty crappy the last two days, but have managed to make a card today for the CCC challenge - it's on my blog. Here's two I made before the weekend:
The guinness card was for friend's FIL for father's day - they always joke about him being Irish (very Irish name/very English accent). I googled the images and also made an insert (first time ever!) with a message printed on it.
The anya card was to be for the crafty place challenge, but then I realised you're supposed to include the word 'summer' on it. Oh well, back to the drawing board!some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0
