I made this for my dad yesterday for fathers day as i had all the papers already it was quite simple. He collects stamps so i googled a stamp from the year he was born and just matted and layered.

Just got to make 2 more different fathers day ones now for my OH and FIL

The papers were from lakeland i really miss there crafts as they used to have really good sales on the craft items. Shame they don't really sell craft items any more in store.

Flourgirl - I think a sketch challenge sounds fab, we could always make it a three week challenge, what do you think ;)

Lucy Lu - I love your cake card, it is sooo pretty :D

Rusty - so glad you all had a great day yesterday, fab weather too :D Bet you can't believe your littlie is 2, where does the time go??? Hope you managed to sort the Christening pressies and cards. I am not ashamed to say I buy cards when a) I think the recipient won't appreciate a made one b) I have run out of time to make one and c) I can't be ar*ed to make one :p

mumhug - got your details thanks, will sort eyelets and pop them in the post this week x

My legs hurt today whereas they felt ok yesterday, they are so not used to exercise poor things ;)

This is a card I made at my card club on Friday. I'm really pleased with it, it's one of my favourite ones I've made so far and I'll definitely make it again.

Thank you mumhug, flourgirl and rainmac.

Louby-lou-lou - what a stunning card, I love it. I so agree, I miss Lakeland's crafts so much. I've asked before if they will bring back their crafting range but they said no as "it doesn't fit in with the rest of what we sell."

This is what I've come up with for my male birthday card. I used free printables from Crafts by Carolyn http://www.craftsbycarolyn.co.uk/cardprint/bluecircle.htm and a blue pearlised card from Smiths...

    Hi Kim,

Someone in the class had a template that she got from somewhere and we made it together.

It does open up at the top and stands on a surface fine.

I have the cut up bits of the template, what I'll do is I'll write instructions on how to do it and I'll draw a fresh template. I'll ask my boyfriend very nicely if he can scan it in for me and I'll e-mail it to you if you pm me your e-mail address.

I won't be able to do it until this evening as I will be out later but I'll try my best to do it tonight for you and will let you know when I've done it.

first of all a huge well done to Rainmac for raising money for such a great cause - especially in such heat! we are all very proud of you!! :T

Marg dont worry yourself about it, whenever you have time is fine! what work are you having done to your house? I posted yours off yesterday, do hope you like it!

fabulous cupcake card lucy lu! love the sparkly gems :T

louby lou what a great stamp card! my grandad collects stamps so I may have to shamelessly borrow your idea if you dont mind!! :D

I am off to my nan and grandad's later to talk about doing 'something' with our back garden, they are mad on gardening and have just done my mums.
we have had the house 2 years now and its still a patch of dirt with weeds as tall as I am! (whenever anyone comes round and looks out the back they always go '... oh - you don't like gardening do you!!') :rotfl:

I am definitely not an outdoor girl but this nice weather we've been having and the predicted hot summer has made me want to at least be able to go out there without feeling like I'm Jane of the jungle... :rotfl:
