Thank you very much, it will be greatly appreciated. Ill pm you now.Hi Kim,
Someone in the class had a template that she got from somewhere and we made it together.
It does open up at the top and stands on a surface fine.
I have the cut up bits of the template, what I'll do is I'll write instructions on how to do it and I'll draw a fresh template. I'll ask my boyfriend very nicely if he can scan it in for me and I'll e-mail it to you if you pm me your e-mail address.
I won't be able to do it until this evening as I will be out later but I'll try my best to do it tonight for you and will let you know when I've done it.0 -
Here is a card ive attempted after seeing Emmas apron card.
I made my own template from looking [several times at Emmas!!!]
I actually had chipboard borders just like emma so hopefully she doesnt mind.

Rainmac - my legs are aching at the thought of walking so far! Try a radox muscle soak bath - it might help.
Lovely stamp card Louby lou lou and your cup cake looks good enough to eat Lucy Lu! I can see that I'm going to find your names confusing too! should I just apologise now?
Gemma - thank you for a bit more time I've given up on the craftyplace challenge in favour of yours and a male card I need for the end of the week, keep your fingers crossed I get time to do. We're having the back garden, the front garden & the drive done!! with quite a lot of paving. I naivly(sp?) thought one would follow the other neatly but all three have been in a complete mess, with noisy diggers, mud & dust - The men are very good at the job and we have plans to work to but there seems to be several meetings each day and decisions to make every time they see us. Don't think yours will be so disruptive leastways I hope not! I'm sure if your Nan & grandad are into gardening they will come up with something easy maintenance for you.
Love your apron Kim where does it hinge please?0 -

Marg
It hinges at the side [see pics below] i only cut out a piece at top left and right to make apron shape.
This is what i did:
-measured a piece of patterned paper A5 size.
-trimmed 1 cm off each side of the paper.
-measured the neck approx 7 cm and drew a curved line to the "waist" and cut.
-using the cut out [disgarded] bit i then drew the curved line onto the white card stock.
-turned the cut out bit over and drew the curved line on the opposite side of card stock and cut
-placing the patterned paper apron onto the card stock apron you should have a 1 cm border complete way round.
-i embellished it by adding ribbon for the straps and for the "pocket" it is a semi circle. To the neck and pocket i inked and added chipboard boarders
There is a template emma mentioned but i couldnt make sense of it as it appeared to be one sided card. I have to credit emmas creation which i followed completely to achieve mine.
