Thanks Emma . I had seen this one but wasnt sure as it wasnt an "openning" card just one sided [if you get me] and it talk about glueing the back up
Kim Possible - re: Apron Card - I used this free one from Mirkwood Designs http://www.ruthannzaroff.com/mirkwooddesigns/barbecue.htm
So I looked at yours [several times] and made my own freehand cut out. Its a "work in progress" , as i also have the chipboard borders but didnt think to ink them b4 hand and let dry!! hope to post it soon.
Craftygranny- thank you very much for finding all thoese templates for me--- ive noted the sites for again- v useful! thanks0 -
Bunbun2 - fab challenge card - I love the bright orange colour for your card blank. I got the email from glitter garden too, I'm gutted they didn't have them reduced when I placed my order.
Saveapenny - I used to use the Asda nappies for both of mine and they were great. I used to work for Asda and their nappies were (I don't know if they still are) made by huggies. Their normal size nappies are a bit cheaper too, but the newborn ones were a real bargain.
Rinroo - welcome to the thread!! Its really hard to know what to buy when you're starting out as there's so many products out there. The first thing you'll need is some adhesive - I use double sided tape for sticking my papers to my card. You can get some cheap packs in the poundland or the 99p shop if you have them near you. Next you need some card blanks, and some patterned papers. If you have a printer you're set - there are so many free downloads available that you don't have to spend a lot to get you sorted. Flowers and some pretty ribbons also add a bit extra to your cards - I've bought some really cheap ribbon from a market stall.
Rusty - before my basic grey addiction took hold I was seriously addicted to K and Co - I bought so many papers!! Their matching embellishments are fab, but are really expensive - the best place for those is ebay - I have a huge collection!! Hope you had a fab day at the beach - and happy birthday to your little girl!!
Melsharpshooter - thanks for the link, lili of the valley stuff is fab isn't it??
Kim_possible - great challenge card - I really like these cards but I have never found the courage to make one. I love your choice of colours - very classy!
Flourgirl - sounds like you got some fab stuff!!
Mrs Tidge - welcome to the thread - like you I tend to use quite a few exclamation marks - why use one when four look so much better?!!!!!!!!!!
Popkins - fab card - I really like how you've arranged your ribbons, and those embellishments are great!!
Rainmac - I really admire you for running today - there's no way that I could do it. Congratulations on raising so much money - I bet you're exhausted!!!0 -
Hi girlies, your help is needed!
I need to make a male birthday card for someone who lives in my building. I don't know him that well and have no idea what to do for inspiration. I'm going to get my boyfriend to look on his Facebook page to see what his interests are and if there's anything on there that might switch a lightbulb on but at the moment I'm totally in the dark!
Any ideas?0 -
Lucy Lu - I am absolutely hopeless when it comes to men's cards!! Is he a football fan???
Hamish - thank you so much for my stamped images - they arrived today - it was really kind of you. I love those anya stamps. If there's anything that you ever need just let me know so that I can return the favour!0 -

Could you just do a boy coloured card with say blue patterend paper and print out a big happy birthday to fit on it?
There are free papers all over the placeOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Fab shopping card Popkins :T
4 people have expressed an interest in the eyelet packs I have and I happen to have 4 packs (one is mine and 3 from the lovely Hamish) so rather than give them all to one person I wondered if you ladies would like a pack each or for me to mix the packs so you get pinks and blue colours? Thank you! Oohh, could I also have your home addresses please - mumhug, Popkins, bunbun (I have yours) and choccy orange (think I have your but can I have again cos I can't find where I've written it )
Hope that's all ok x  If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
EmmaOc - welcome!
It's lovely to have you with us.
I have a lot of admiration for anyone in your set of circumstances!
I know what you mean re: crafting and having a baby who wantsto be held 24/7 - we call those babies who like to travel 1st Class :rotfl:. One of my sons particularly was like that. He's now 3.5 and still likes cuddles and is very affectionate but also likes to use his own two feet.
I remember putting him in a sling so that I could craft 'over' him.
anyway, welcome again!"Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

Well, I'm home from Race for Life, here are some photos of me before and after the event. I walked the 5km in 56 minutes which for a bird who is overweight and does no exercise I thought was quite good

Before with my boys who came and cheered me on before things started...
Afterwards, about half an hour after I finished, in the nearest place to get a cold drink and also had a bowl of ice cream as I was roasting (as my beetroot coloured face will indicate)

We went to dinner at Pizza Express tonight (courtesy of Tesco Clubcard vouchers
) and I ate like a piggie
Big thanks to everyone for your support, I am glad I've done it but also glad it's over. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi all
Just a quick post as I've heaps of washing to do after the camping trip but wanted to say thanks to Toni (OAP) for her generous stash from the CP stash swap. It was lovely t come home to some stash! I'll try and take a pic tomorrow when the bateries on my camera have recharged.
Thanks again!0 -
