Rusty - been thinking about you! I know someone else who did the balloon thing and I fill up now whenever I see them in the sky. I think it's a lovely thing to do and it will help your children too.

Saveapenny - hope you get fixed up with a holiday soon.

Mumhug & craft granny - sorry to hear you've been poorly.

Rainmac - Good luck for tomorrow.:jCan't find a running icon! Your [STRIKE]recent[/STRIKE] all your cards are lovely.

Npsmama - agree your idea re challenge.

Louby-lou lou - They are set on here the last one was set 2 weeks ago and was to make a fathers day card by Monday teatime. As I have no one to make one for said I'd do a male card. We mostly find male ones hard to do! Not even started mine yet as I've had a busy stressful week.

Rinroo - welcome I've not been making very long but would say that a good pair of scissors is essential - some sticky pads (to raise things off the card) try poundland or similar shop, double sided tape is always handy. I don't do much with 'bought' papers I try to print them myself (depends if you have a reasonable printer). Perhaps just get a few card blanks to start & buy trimmings that take your fancy it can take a while to find out what you like doing & looks good - I can't stamp for toffee!!!

Jailhousebabe - not heard from you for a while - Are you OK?

Hi all, Just got back from York this evening after a few days away,(second attempt ok) :D The weather has been almost perfect and we have walked our feet off. So no crafting or crocheting done cos I was too shattered by night time to do anything.
I haven't caught up with the blogs yet but it sounds as though you have all been busy, there are some fab cards posted on this thread alone. Well done to all of you:T:T:T
I came home to some lovely goodies though, Bazzill cardstock, K&Co papers, Magazine and free stamp, glue pen and I did buy a box of mixed card from the paper mill shop. A beautiful gift from Crazychatter containing a handmade shoulder bag 2 decorated jars full of embellishments a lovely decorated notepad and a gorgeous stitched card:D:D:D Thank-you so much. I also had an envelope from Kim_Possible with lots of lovely stamped images. Thank-you Kim :D:T I have to say it felt like Christmas :D

Rusty glad to see you back. I am so sorry about your grandad, I am thinking about you and your family. xx I think the balloons are a lovely idea.

    Good morning all!

I've been a long time lurker on many MSE threads and have decided to bite the bullet and join in here!

I'm Niki, mum to 2 lovely boys - 6 and 3 and avid card maker although would like to branch out into some other crafts I need to be slightly realistic as I also work 4 days a week.

I massively overuse exclamation marks but will attempt to be restrained with smilies:wink:

I know I shall probably be a sporadic poster - unbelievably I am unable to post from work so shall probably be either early morning (my 3 year old thinks that anything from 5 is a perfectly reasonable time to wake up) or late evening.

I've also just set up a blog having been inspired by you all - now just need to populate with some piccies and content!

Well, enjoy this beautiful weather - I'm off to a parent and child tennis tounrament this morning and hope to get a bit of crafting in this evening.

Gorgeous card Kim Possible, do you have any instructions, I'd love to have a go at something like that x

Welcome MrsTidge, we are all lovely and love new people coming to join this cosy warm thread :D

Rusty, well done with the cards and K&Co papers. I was watching a couple of K&Co pads on ebay yesterday that were really cheap but forgot to check back before the auctions finished - d'oh

Marg - thank you for the good luck wishes, I'm going to need them :p. Please think of me at the starting line for Race for Life at 11am this morning. I have raised over £225 for breast cancer which is brilliant

Flourgirl, sounds like you have a fab time and what a lovely surprise coming home to all those parcels x

Saveapenny, thank you so much for the link :A, have just stocked up on double sided tape. I used the second class post option which is free delivery :T. So sorry you haven't sorted a holiday yet, the perfect one is there waiting, you just need to find it ;)

Would anyone like to volunteer to think up a new card challenge for Monday???

Lovely Fathers Day card everyone, sadly I don't make them anymore but I still love seeing them.

Good Luck, rainmac, let us know how you get on.

rinroo I started card making with a cheap kit just to see if I would like it, now a few years later I am hooked. Can't help myself when the girls here post a link to a website as I tell myself that there may just be something I didn't know I needed on there.
