Hi anyone know where i can find some nice oriental pics and papers i'm sorting some cards out to make for my mil for charity and all the oriental ones went quite quickly last time so she wants more of those lol.
Then she said oh can i have them by the end of the month. must think i don't have a life or as my hubby said a chance to make cards and leave the ironing lol.

New challenge finish birth sampler by end of the month
No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Rusty - sorry you've had a rough time. It always makes me appreciate how lucky we were that DD's dad never bothered with her after we split up when she was 2. Luckily she knows that it was never a case of me not letting him see her; now she's 20 and wouldn't give him the time of day. Actually, she probably would because she's too polite by half sometimes.
Sally - I love your purple card. I've never seen paper like that before; it's got such depth to it.
Marg - your cards are great. I've never tried printing straight onto card before; I don't think I'd find it as therapeutic as messing around with paper, pens and DST.
Kim - fab cards, my favourite is the purple one. I love the papers, the image and the cupcakes (so all of it really!).
Melissa - did your OH really let you help him put a bed together? Slap that man's wrist! My sister has about 11 weeks to go and is the size of a house (she's normally very petite). She's struggling to shave her legs, never mind construct furniture! :rotfl:
I'm jealous of flourgirl and sally - I want thunder and lightning. We've just had loads of rain, but it was lovely and warm earlier when the sun was out.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Marg all your cards a gorgeous my fave is the green challenge one.
Kim really pretty cards i really love the the first one it is so sweet. In Perfect love and Perfect Trust.0 -

There's the Papermania Oriental Spice pack (6x6 - 50 sheets) on eBay; buy it now for £2.99 incl p&p. They have the pads for £1 at madaboutcards, but I believe they have a minimum order of £15 and p&p is high.
The paper I used on my Japanese Geisha card a few pages back came from this pad.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Kim_possible - lovely cards - I think my favourite is the first one - I really like that stamped image - its so cute!
Rusty - I haven't seen them cheap anywhere - I think its because they're a relatively new product. The only thing I can suggest is that you try and find it somewhere that is offering free postage. I'm sure theglitterpot sell it, but I think its about 6 quid. Sorry you've had a crappy day.
Furrypig - I'll happily send you a few bits for Molly, I would have only just thrown the stuff in the bin because I just have too much stuff!! PM me your address and I'll get it sent off next week. Any other takers?????
Well, I finally caved in and ordered some things from the craft superstore. I spent just over 40 quid, I got the xcut guillotine, an xcut corner rounder (sorry for copying you Rainmac), some medium brads - I love this size for the centre of flowers, some cheap ribbon sets and 2 basic grey 6x6 pads - lime rickey (sorry Rusty), and wisteria - they were about 6 quid each, (just over a fiver with the 15% off).
I feel like I am copying you now :rotfl: I love the papers, I can't even remember what I was searching for on ebay but saw them and wanted them. OH said nothing else is allowed in the house til something goes out ... so I will probably order them off ebay as they work out about £6 inc P&P and I can pay by paypal which is all a bonus!
Thanks for letting me know. Mary thankyou to you aswell
I'm not sure why I like them so much?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Rusty - I used to love the k and Co 6x6 pads, but now I much prefer the basic grey ones. The paper is much thicker and I love the fact that you get the plain papers with them for matting and layering. The only one so far that I haven't been so keen on is the porcelain one.
Jailhousebabe - that's nothing I had to help him carry the stupid thing up the stairs first! I've got 10 weeks to go now and I think I'm quite big now, I have double jointed knees so I can just bend my leg the wrong way if I need to put my shoes on or anything - it comes in quite handy.
craftygranny - I've got quite a few oriental papers and stickers that I am looking at giving away 'cos I wont use them anymore. I'll see if I can find some pics of the products.0 -
Here's one of the sets that I'm giving away:

This is what I was going to suggest too. papermania do lovely sets.
I'm feeling really down tonight and have been crying remembering some painful things so I need to give myself a kick up the proverbial and chill a bit. A workout and cardmaking should help.
What doesn't help is that I was participating in a swap on another forum (not Craftyplace I hasten to add) and I was supposed to receive cards from two different people but neither has ever sent me anything. The deadline for sending was 30th April. One person did send me a message to say she was late but was about to post it but that was over 10 days ago.
I know it's daft but I feel really miffed and used."Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

npsmama - sorry you're feeling down. I can definitely recommend getting your cardmaking stuff out! Even stamping/printing some images and colouring them in helps take my mind off things. It keeps me away from the chocolate as well.
I'm exactly the same though, I get really peed off when people don't keep their promises, and I hate to feel that I've ever let anyone down. If there's a genuine reason for the delay, at least they could let you know!
Melissa - I've got a really strange image in my head now of you putting your shoes on!some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
npsmama - sorry you've been feeling down - hope you feel better soon.
jailhousebabe - it makes some people feel ill when they see me bend them - my sons have both inherited it from me!0
