Saveapenny, sorry to be a pain I have just looked on your photobucket and notice you have an eeyore and also a pooh and piglet thingy on there, I was wondering where you got these from?

I need to make a 2nd birthday card for my daughter in May and thought I would try and make a pretty one myself then if I failed I could go and buy one :rotfl: Could you point me in the right direction?

BOBs - haven't you got any shops nearby that you could get the card from? At paper mill you can fill an A4 box of card for about 6.00, I've never counted how many sheets you actually get in there though! I will have a think about other places to get the card from. Also you'll use a lot less card if you do your cards c6 in size, (that's half a piece of a4 folded in half), so for every piece of a4 card you get 2 card blanks.
Welcome to all the newbies - can't wait to see all of your cards.

Thanks Melissa75 ... there is a Papermill but its about 40 miles away so wouldnt really justify the drive - and also might spend too much when I get there - it is part of an outlet village (Junction 1 in Antrim - for anyone living in Northern Ireland)! .I think each box holds about 80 sheets of card.

Re the C6 size ...... My sister in law to be thought it would be too small>>
At least I can justify size in that the cut offs will be used as part of the topper, for my wee banners 'wedding invitation' & 'evening invitation' and also for place cards.

BOBS - sorry if I was being a bit "obvious" mentioning the c6 cards, but I just thought I'd mention it! I always find it annoying when ordering card as the postage is so horrendous! I did look on Papermill's website and the delivery was 10 quid to Northern Ireland!

Melissa 75 ... no it wasnt that you were being obvious - i really appreciate any input I get. Havent really done much card making the last few years as I have been really into jewellery making - so any pointers much appreciated.

Prob my fault for folding a piece of A4 in half and asking her 'what size/shape she wanted'! Of course she wanted as a big a square as poss from a sheet of A4.
As for postage costs to Northern Ireland that little strip of water they call the Irish Sea does work out expensive. I have went to buy loads of different things from beds to paper and when I go to check out realise that there are big add ons for delivering here.

I think 5x5 is about right for the day invite and maybe 4x4 for the evening ones any smaller and they mightnot look right but play about with them with scraps of paper cut to size so you dont waste card
