I love making these keepsake cards, just have to finish the box off now but need some acetate for the window in the front of the box.0 -
hels - I'm so sorry the fudge didnt work for you
are you going to give it another go?
sunrise - wow those tactile cards are lovely, on the 16th one I think the gems in Braille are fantastic, what a great idea
saveapenny - fab cards on your photobucket, you have certainly been busy! and the bootees on your blog are sooo sweet
Kim - lovely pram card, the pink card you've used looks like it has a lovely texture to it
Mumhug and rainmac's mum: hope your hosp appointments go well, it's horrible waiting on the NHS to get their act together! mumhug lovely blog cards I especially like the kitties, have left you a blog comment x
princesspoppypop - lovely bookatrix card, those papers and flowers are just gorgeous and match so well :T0 -
Saveapenny - They are fantastic cards you have been VERY busy - I love the bootees. Thanks for info about the grade of backing paper. Can I ask please - when you cut out the flowers on your cards are they in backing grade paper or card?
Sunrise - very nice idea, tactile cards, these are really pretty.
Craft Central have a new shop at my out of town shopping centre. Weren't they the ones who went bust before Christmas? I got one or two minor bargains - stuff was either 30 or 50% reduced I was in there for ages!
yes Marg my local Craft Central (near Burton) closed down just before Xmas, would you mind saying which out of town shopping centre you went to?
I have read on another forum that the one near Derby (Alvaston I think) has re-opened up again recently which isn't too far from me, but I haven't visited yet0 -

saveapenny- id seen the cirlce cutter on hobbycraft and the shape cutter. thought maybe id get better value from shape one
The reason I mention hobbycraft is that I won £50 vouchers, but there are no shops nr me:rolleyes:, but ive emailed and they r looking into how i could use my vouchers [currentlly not accepted online either]0 -
I have really loved seeing all the credit crunch cards and realise just how much money I can save by making cards as none of these challenge cards looked cheap in the least!!! Thanks everyone for sharing all your ideas.
here is my credit crunch card
the card itself, glitter card squares and pink embellishment were all given to me by a fellow mse'r (thanks again!) so cost 0p, the 3 pink gems were given to me by someone who said they wouldn't use them (cost 0p) and lastly the ribbon was cut from an item of clothing (cost 0p) so amazingly i have managed to make a card at a personal cost of 0p (excluding the glue of course!!)0 -
I made this card for my parents for Easter and also tried to enter it in the last creative card crew challenge but not sure if it actually got on the site!! It was for the texture challenge as it has flowers raised in foam pads, a brad, silk flowers, a ribbon and buttons tied with thread.
also a gem butterfly and I took the photo outdoors to add to the 'spring' feel of the card!!0 -
I only got round to making 1 easter card due to going away which is a bit disappointing, It took a few minutes only and I think you can tell!! But will share it anyway!!0
