There's a little sale on here:
    http://www.acard4u.co.uk/reduced-to-clear-12-x-12-papers-c-315_320.html
some great 3 bugs in a rug 12x12 papers for 15p, some basic grey infuse 12x12 papers for 11p and some brazill stitch stencil thingies - I've just bought a border set as I'd love to start using stitching on my cards and layouts. Postage is 1.99 or free fore over 30 quid spend.

Stitching on my cards is another thing I would love to do, but believe it or not I am worred that it will make my sewing machine needle blunt.

I don't use it that much anyway but <<shudder>>. I would love to embroider red gingham with denim on a white card with a big glittery pink flower made out of paper.............Ok if it breaks I blame you right.:j

Ok, ok, that's enough! :rotfl:This is suppposed to be a money saving forum and I've spent over £50 today on bargain papers, card blanks, stamps, brads.............

For some reason when someone writes 'there's a sale on ....' my brain interprets it as 'and you have to go and look and then you can't leave without buying anything!1

Please don't post any more sales - I'm weak willed!:rotfl:

Dawnteabag - Sorry for tempting you, its my birthday soon - so I have an excuse for spending. I haven't done too badly though - I only spent 13 quid (and that's including postage) at a card4u!
Gangstabird - oh no - I'd hate it if your sewing machine broke! I had been thinking about buying a really small machine just for sewing paper, but I think I'll see how I get on with these stencils first!

    I'm a member of that club ;)
Have been quite good today though, only spent £3.16 on a set of alphabet stamps and some pearlescent sticker sets - and no p&p :)

I'm getting very fed up with Clever Cuts - it's 2 months now since I placed my order and it still hasn't arrived. They didn't post the order until over 3 weeks after I'd placed it, even though everything was in stock. I emailed them over a week ago to ask if they could chase Royal Mail (as it was 15 working days since they posted it) and asked them to keep me informed. No reply, so I emailed them again yesterday morning, and again no reply. I am not a happy bunny
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

I don't have an excuse but I have been making excuses along the lines of

most people would spend more than that on a Friday night out and they'd have nothing to show for it
    or
'well I should buy myself something from my bonus from work rather than saving it all towards my new kitchen (althought this was also my excuse for buying 3 dr who box sets so that one is wearing a bit thin!)

On the plus side, I don't have to worry about explaining it away to my other half as I'm divorced so I can spend it on whatever I like! :T On the downside, no=one else is going to be putting any money towards that kitchen if I don't :embarasse

Oooh I bought some of those pearlescent stickers too! The flower ones. Can't even remember which shop from - I've done 4 orders today!

That's bad form on your other order tho. I assume they've had your money all the while. I'd be tempted to give up and ask for my money back.

Dawnteabag - I don't spend money on nights out, clothes, posh shoes or handbags - my crafting is my one luxury - so I figure that I deserve it, plus I make sure that my brats get spoilt too.
Jailhousebabe - sorry about your order from clever cuts, I'd go down the blackmail route and inform them that you're a member of a very large crafting forum and unless the matter is resolved quickly you will be telling all of the forum members to avoid this company at all costs.

You're right Melissa but its still a bit naughty.
I think it may be time for bed now as my craft obsessed brain misread your last sentence. I was thinking what on earth does Melissa do to 'spoil her brads'. Is this some new technique that I've not heard of (we did talk about colouring on top of brads at the scrapbook class I went to recently). MAybe you use thos lovely tim holz distrs inkes on them to spoil them........Then I read it again and realised you were talking about something far more important than brads. There's no hope for me!
