Hi Melissa,
Glad you and Rainmac had a good time at the NEC today. Hope you enjoy yourself when you go on Sunday Gemm85.
Does anyone know if this kind of show is ever on in London and if so when? The NEC is too far for me to contemplate going on my own, but wouldn't mind going to one in London.
Melissa, I've used craftworkscard before and not only do they have fab prices, the quality of the products and service is great, and delivery is very quick.
I went up to the NEC today so you'd be able to make it CT!!
There is a similar show with similar stalls in Farnborough can't remember who told me now and it's in Jan each year. It is on in London at Olympia but part of the reason for going all that way was to meet up with PLM, Melissa75, Rainmac, Choccy Orange and Sylphraven!! So obviously well worth the time and journey!!!
It was great to meet everyone and the time went v fast but I was there until we were thrown out at 5.30!!0 -
sounds like you all had a brilliant time and spent a fortune I bet...lol
I said you would hear me shout...I GOT 2 ORDERS FOR NAPPY CAKES...WAHOOOOOO!!!! and it was only shown in 1 office shes got to show the rest yet...Im well pleased
They also wiped me out of cards and want another box by Wednesday :eek:If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -

sorry it's a few pages late, but i have a helix craft room and really like it. the boards that you can buy to go with it are really good, my favourite is a greetings one or a line one! the fact that it locks is so it keeps the paper still- in theory ( if the paper is small then it isn't locked. the majority of the embossing boards have a guide with them so you can kinda see where you are embossing. i prefer to cut using a knife and board, bu think that is because i need to get used to using it and i'm impatient! for free it is a good gift, i would get lmc for it if i didn't have it. or look on ebay, that is where i got mine from for £15.
i found wih LMC you don't always want the theme, like easter, gardening so i just buy it when i like what is in it, £8 can go quite a long way in the range!
as can £31 which is what i spent today-ooooops!
did get a goody bag which looks realy good this month lots of dandilion stuff, forever friends, embossing powder, 12x12 core dimensions and lots of other things!!0 -
Ct19720 - I'm not sure if its the same one that we went to, but this show is on really soon, its sounds like a biggy too as Dawn Bibby is going to be there.

I went to the Stitch & Craft a couple of years back. They usually are quite big and though a lot of it is knitting/sewing, it really is fantastic for scrappers/card makers :TGC March Wk1 £28.72/£30 Wk2 £28.4/£29

hi
thought I'd introduce myself
I started making cards about 2 years ago as something to keep me amused as my children were slowly becoming young adults and I wasn't needed 24/7 anymore
anyway hubby got involved and we were making more cards than we could ever need just for family and friends birthdays so we decided to start selling them
now it has become a 'little ' business and we're on target to make a little profit this year ( when I say little I do mean little but we're covering our costs and building up a great client base )
I haven't posted on here as I thought it was just for set challenges etc
but now I've found it I'd love to join in with your making cards thread
heres some I've just made for a customer for easter0 -
I notice that you're all chatting about the helix craft room and the ultimate crafters companion
I'm also trying to decide between the 2
I'm lucky enough to work in hobbycraft so can get discount but I've noticed with 'lets make cards' I can get a free helix craft room for subscribing and then am thinking can I buy the scoring board and box maker bits separately ??? as they're the bits I'm quite interested in ???
any thoughts ??0 -
Lovely cards Sunrise! I'm actually a scrapper but thinking of getting into card making, so lurk around here a lot
Your cards are beautiful! :T
