Not long got back from the N.E.C (6.45) and I'm exhausted.. Had a great time though - everyone was lovely!
It was mainly card making stuff that was there and not so much scrapbooking stuff, but it was lovely looking at everything. Gemm - you'll have a fab time, I could have done with more time there but I had to catch my train back!
I was really impressed with the Daisy and Dandelion decoupage packs (a lot of stalls had them). I bought a forever friends one recently for 3 quid and there was enough stuff to make 4 cards. But for the same price in these dandelion packs you get 4 die-cut decoupage sheets (2 designs on each) and 4 sheets of backing paper - so in all enough to make 8 cards!! I also got a few packs from the lili of the valley stall (3 packs for a tenner), and in these you get 16 die-cut images and 4 sheets of backing paper. I stocked up on double sided tape as it was quite cheap.
There was also a stall where everything was a pound - dovecraft paper packs, packs of card blanks or 12 products for a tenner (it was called crafty cards). Rainmac and I really liked a stall and they have a website if anyone wants to check it out: www.craftworkcards.co.uk. A lot of their stuff was really different a little bit pricey, but it was worth it. We got 50 scalloped card blanks and envelopes (square cards) for 5 quid, and some lovely geisha images. I'll be looking at their website to see what else they have. Can't wait to play with all of my stuff.0 -

Hi Melissa,
Glad you and Rainmac had a good time at the NEC today. Hope you enjoy yourself when you go on Sunday Gemm85.
Does anyone know if this kind of show is ever on in London and if so when? The NEC is too far for me to contemplate going on my own, but wouldn't mind going to one in London.
Melissa, I've used craftworkscard before and not only do they have fab prices, the quality of the products and service is great, and delivery is very quick.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Ct19720 - I'm sure that this same show is on next at the London Olympia. I'm not sure of the date though, I'll find out if you want. I've just had a look on that website, postage is normally 3.95, but for this month its 1.95, so I'll definately be ordering.
Bunbun - I do need a rest!!
We met up with Furrypig too, she was lovely - she had brought us all presents and they were so thoughtful - so thanks Furrypig!!!!
Pinkladymel was also there and was a fountain of knowledge as always, and I met two ladies from the thrifty thread - Oona and Kirsty, they were all fabulous.0 -
