Flourgirl - that's me too. I made the book card out of card.
Debsy/Flourgirl - I have never been to the range, but it sounds fab.
Marg - hope you're having a great time!
Rainmac - I have an idea for my challenge card, but I've not started it yet. I'm trying to finish this paperbag album off for my Mum before she comes on Sunday.0 -
Someone was asking about knowing what colours to use, although the below link is about colours on the web, the theory is used through out every aspect of art.
http://www.colorsontheweb.com/combiningcolors.asp
Thought it might help you know what colours to use.
In some cases bing experimental and just trying it you'll find that colours will go that you thought might not.
If you also go to the Colour Schemes page it gives you loads of ideas on combinations
If all else fails use them all lol*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0 -
Did you all know that the paint mixing machine in local DIY stores can colour scheme for you free of charge and you don't need to actually buy any paint?
Just find a card or an item in one colour you like and they can scan it, the machine picks out 5 other cards to tone, harmonise and a neutrals to work with it and you take all those cards home and match them to your paper/card stock at homePucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0 -
i end up with paper and card everywhere when i am trying to match up paers for colour co-ordinating etc! then it tkaes me ages to pack it all away again.
rainmac, in amswer to your question, yes i do sell my cards, i do 3 regular craft fairs a year and if i can try to fit in a couple of others. it sort of pays to buy more craft stuff.
need to buy paper trimmer, dont necessarily need a special crafty trimmer just one that works well, any recomendations please?0 -

Remember the pics, looking forward to seeing it.
I've had a disaster with my non-traditional card so, I'm going to try something else, probably won't be finished until next week.
OH's plane is in the air as I type, can't wait for him to come home :T I'll probably be moaning this time next week about how messy the house is again with him back :wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Well done for selling them, it can be hard to get started selling but you are obviously established with it and as you say, the money you make can buy more craft stuff:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Thank you all very much for the advice re colour schemes.
The website s_micheals showed is brilliant. If you'd have said to me you can use lime green and fuschia pink together I'd have said you were mad LOL but it so works with the other 2 colours to tone in.
That is really helpful. I've saved it to my favourites. Thank you.
rainmac pleased that DH is on his way home bet your :j
debsy well done on selling your cards.

soblivion I totally agree with you, I had a look and I didn't realise they had so many combinations and some of them go so well but you just wouldn't have put it together lol*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0

Do you know how these colours translate for using them on Publisher because yo only have 3 numbers on each line to edit the colours
Does anyone know were I can get hold of empty ribbon reels...Im trying to tidy up my ribbon box and hubby as come up with a good ida of using poles to store it all on instead of it being just in a draw getting all tangles upIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
