Thanks Melissa - I think it was your link I followed on the scrapbook thread to buy the papers half price  It's the first time I've bought from that range, I was very impressed with how thick the papers are.
CT - back on the cupcake theme, I noticed Crafts Beautiful magazine in the newsagents this morning has a book of cupcake recipes and card suggestions. I didn't buy it (trying to be good), but think it was £3.65. I've had a look on their website (here) - if you register for free you can access free downloads, this month's is the cupcake paper that ZLS used on her card a day or 2 ago.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
flourgirl - you must have so much patience! Your cards are so intricate; they're lovely. I'm sure anyone who receives them would appreciate the time and effort that obviously goes into making them.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0

Hi JailhouseBabe
Thanks for the info, i'll take a look. I have done a couple of cards this afternoon and am half way though making a cupcake card. I have made one like the link you posted the other day and they are easy just like the pram one, but I have made it as a topper to go on the top of the card. I am just struggling a bit with what background to put it on. everything I have is too plain. I'll see what I can come up with and post some piccies later, when its finished.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Here are the cards i've made this afternoon. Really pleased with how the cupcake has turned out although I still have to add some 'Happy Birthday' words to the front, which I will do when I have decided what and how. I knew I'd have another use for the paper crimper I bought just before Christmas - it was perfect for doing the cupcake case!2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000

Ct10720 - great cards - really clever idea to use the crimper for the case. The butterflies are pretty too. I am very impressed with how neat your bows are - did you do them yourself?0

Flourgirl - thanks for the link - those boxes are great, I love the pink poodle.
Jailhousebabe - the papers were more like thin card weren't they? Trouble is buying those pads has put me on a quest to buy more basic grey stuff, first it was K and Co, now its basic grey! They have a couple of new ranges out and they are gorgeous, but there's no way I'd pay full price for the stuff.0 -

Thanks Melissa,
No I don't tie my bows - I bought a couple of kits and got some pink and cream ones. However, I am gradualy running out of them so was going to ask if anyone had an foolproof ways of tieing your own? I have tried with different colour ribbons in the past, but they always look really naff. Or should I just buy some more of the pre tied ones.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000
