Hi all I have not done the card for the challenge going to try soon but need ideas lol and so far they are not flowing too well.

My dd's school is very weird, they only had 3 days off this half term but I think we get longer later on. I am worried that my dd's attendance is quite poor but I am working on it to get it back up. I am going to print off about my daughters blood condition so school know what it is.

As I type this I think I have decided what to do for the challenge, Watch this space.

Schools are weird Zoey! My son's school was closed for 2 days cos of the snow and then re-opened on the Monday but conditions were so bad we couldn't get there (we did try driving and walking and couldn't get there). I phoned to notify the school and was given the third degree on the phone and told that I needed to understand that education is important. I said so is safety!!! The school was closed again on the Tuesday when the weather was better than on the Monday. Completely weird! Hope your DD is feeling and looking better now ;)

I tried to make my card earlier. I thought it would be fairly easy but was wrong! all the bits I wanted to use were out of proportion so it looked wrong - so I gave up! will try again another day!

My little girl is so much better thank you, I was reading about her condition online and it appears that she has had a mild crisis. Nothing major and her body is nicely working to repair itself.

Basically her blood level dropped slightly due to a viral infection. Some times it can cause a serve drop then a blood transfusion would be needed, Luckily we have not been down this path yet and nor do I want to go there.

  • After seeing my DD (4 ½) in a pink bridesmaid dress yesterday, my sister has finally agreed on her wedding colour scheme (even though for months pink has been a no no!!!)
As the dress has pale pink butterflies on them, I thought that maybe I could have a go at doing a wedding invitations for her, have been googling some lovely butterfly embellishments.
I know she doesn't want the usual card opening style.
    Any style idea's you could recommend ..... I am a beginner !!

These are a few I made earlier, the top two are decoupage pictures and the bottom two are just stitched. The colours are much brighter than they show on the photo, especially the green one. Hope you like them
