    Morning all :hello:

Mild, almost warm, here but damp, so washing will have to go on airer. DH gone to work, me & baby fed, WM done, DS just up for college & not quite 8.30 - not bad for a Friday! (Started this before 8.30! :rotfl: )
Sis coming later for a Christmas confab & I was supposed to be sorting through craft boxes for stuff I don't need/want, cos there's too much, & giving her 1st refusal on it all, but job only half done as usual! Glad she's coming as baby really bored cos we've not been able to go to toddler groups this week.
Sausage pie last night not bad, but I'm not a sausage-lover, so didn't have much! Might make some sort of soup tonight, or we'll have bacon butties.
Dad not too well atm, but he's one of these stubborn people who think docs don't know their stuff, so he suffers & takes everyone else with him!
N'mind, got to change/wash/dress baby, DS prob wants a lift to college. Just saw a piece on BBC breakfast about people giving up their cars & occasionally renting city cars,, in order to save money - might be a good idea, I could just hire one once a week to do a shop for heavy stuff & get us all to use bus or shank's pony!
See you all later, hugs/kisses to all.

    Morning everyone

dull and drizzly today so i shall be getting a good soaking shortly when i take the houndlets out for a walk.

I woke around 5 and couldn`t get back to sleep so i shall be shattered later as i`m on the late shift tonight.
I decided to filter some wine and one that was done i did the usual dw emptying and put the clean washing on the radiator airers.

Tea tonight is chilli and jackets and all of it is already cooked as i did it yesterday so i shall look to see what i shall be making for tomorrow in a little while.

Little cat is all curled up in the chair next to me, earlier the younger dog was trying to make her move out of the chair and the little cat jumped up hissing and ran at the dog along the sofa :rotfl: she`s not daft seeing the dog off whilst making sure she`s at a similar level to her.:D

N9eav - I`m sure that everything will get sorted out at w*rk, it must be really frustrating for you.

    Sammey90 - Welcome :hello:

Hester - I hope that your lodger stays a bit longer, she sounds really nice .

Squiggly - Hope that your cold and sore throat eases soon, there seem to be quite a few bugs doing the rounds at the moment.

I`m off to wrap up now and brave the outside.
    Have a good Friday everyone!

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Morning everyone, drizzle & misty here today, not quite what was forecast.

In work today then taxi service for the lad this evening, picking up from a mates, guitar lesson etc. Made a fish pie yesterday for tea which knocked spots of my previous attempts, so I've got it for lunch today as well.

In my efforts to get the OH into OSing I purchased a magazine called 'Country Kitchen' yesterday, quite a good read, she now whats to try out some of the OS type recipes in the magazine, so I'm getting there slowly.

    Have a good day everyone.

    :hello: Good morning!

It's lovely and sunny here today.

Going to Lidl this morning, as there are a couple of things I wanted when we went to S'bury's yday but I refused to pay their prices for them. Hopefully I'll remember what the things were by the time we get to Lidl, my head feels full of cotton wool because of this stupid cold:rolleyes: I know one thing was coffee, but I know there was something else.

Just a quick post today as I can't think of anything to say! Hope you all have a good Friday.

    Best wishes

  • I've got flu... Today is the first day I've been "up" since Monday. I spent all day in bed on Sunday but then had to get up to and see Michael McIntyre - he's sooo dinky I'm sure you could fit him in a pocket! :rotfl: We're meant to be going to the theatre this Sunday as well but we'll see. So, haven't really been eating although I did have some haddock yesterday. Bin men are meant to be taking our new blue "paper" bins but they haven't been 'round yet. Not been doing much digital work either. Rght, now I've had a moan I've going back to bed.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Morning everybody,

Nice and mild here to-day, didn't need my coat to take DGS 2 to school, but it is dull and overcast so won't hold my breath for a fine day.

WM is just about to go on, have to clean the oven, trays and all, as I forgot about some apples in to bake last night and they exploded all over the place. DW needs emptying and there are several other chores need doing in the kitchen.

Corned beef, beetroot, carrots and mash for dinner, Ulick loves it so bought a piece the other day, will just about do us as it shrinks so much, but will be a nice treat.

Hugs to PenPin if anyone is in touch with her

Diva....thought that your lodger was looking after her own food....sounds like she is getting great value to me.... I know that she is a friend but you shouldn't be out of pocket either...now tell me to mind my own business...the older I get the more I interfere and give unasked advice...sorry.

Taplady...hope that DS1 gets some work soon, heard yesterday about somebody I know having to take a pay cut and a couple of people being laid off from the same company so it seems to be all over, trouble is here that people have got so used to walking out of jobs to-day and starting another to-morrow while we were enjoying the Celtic Tiger influence that it is going to be a problem coping for young people who have never had to think about what they spent.

Have eventually started to mend the many antique (or just old) dining chairs so that we will be able to put people on chairs at table for Christmas...think that there will be 17 altogether, although DGD3 will be in high chair...must get chair out and give it a good scrub.

Have a good day all, hugs to all in need or want, welcome to any newbies, congratulations to all who are celebrating

haha i'm really dim, as i just posted on yesterdays thread!!!! obviously the clue of THURSDAY didn't sink in!!!!

good luck and hugs to all who need them, i'm sending warm fuzzies to all...

it sounds as if you are all so organised when it comes to christmas, i'm starting to panic, as i have gifts for many, but the more difficult to buy for have nothing.... wich is normally where i slip up, and panic buy exspensive junk at the last minute!!!! i'm really pleased that i have been buying bits for ages though, as it will take off the strain in December...

i've just had some good news, they have made my job permanent, which is a weight off, as i would have been looking in a few months...

i have joined the grocery challenge, and have been really good at listing all of the bits of junk that i buy in my lunches, as these seemed not to count last month, and i'm sure thay add up!!!!

i really need to start planning meals, and actually sticking to the plan, as this seems to be a major downfall for me...

i still need to cut right down though, and this week alone i have spent £8.05 on lunches at work when i could have taken something from the cupboards, and we are going to the pub for lunch today.... (some one's birthday)

i need to get my savings account with a bit of a buffer in it, and am going to need a new washing machine and fridge freezer soon.... i'm hanging on for as long as possible though.

    have lovely weekends all. xxx

    Morning all :D
Well my organised baking day with an early start has so far evaporated..the phone has not stopped since 9am so thought I may as well have a mug of coffee before I start properly.

    Planning to do:-

    Twinks hobnobs (dipped in choc)
BM1(Panny) is on with loaf in
BM2 (small MR) yet to start with a batch of pizza dough to make pizzas for the freezer
BM3 (large MR) will be making up an apple braid dough one for tea and one for the freezer
    GF brownies for DS3
Banana bread (HFW) with some blueberries added

Mince is defrosted for a batch of chilli in the SC

So need to get my butt in gear sometime soon...(after a quick read!)

Hope all are well today and those who aren't feel much better soon
