As for the benefits - I have not looked into it with hubby working I just assumed I wasnt entilted to anything for me not working - I shall see what I can find out - and perhaps someone here will also be able to advise on that too...

Woohooo more updates - We are on a roll today.
Rang National Debt Line again - they have gone through incomings and outgoings etc and they are sending out the paperwork for Payplan - no mention of the grocery bill being higher to qualify.
Fingers crossed Payplan take us on and we can be paying our debts off a little at a time :j
I can breath a "small" sigh of relief tonight :T

Yes I have been a member for a few years on Freecycle now - have both given and recieved some good things - it is a god send sometimes.

Looks like this is going to be a diary.....had such a nice weekend in a few ways......although the paper work hasnt come through the post as yet...I feel more positive about things...yes I still owe thousands of pounds but hopefully it will be paid off......
Downside - although hubby and I rang all of the companies and filled them in on what was happening they are still ringing and ringing - all hours day and night - is not telling them over the phone enough??? How can things change from Saturday to Sunday??????
Thats very annoying.....hubby did put the phone down on one earlier...he said I have informed you of what is happening and you still keep ringing and then put the phone down!!!
Should I send them all the letter that says take the number off the system and contact via letter? Does the letter actually work?

Numpty sod the letters I have started to read this thread and am hooked already I just HAVE to repeat some of these......they usually ask for hubby as most are his accounts and wont divulge any info anyway then ask when he will be home so they can call again - they usually phone me upto 7 times a day....so will have fun with these......thankyou...:beer:

Well things are taking so much longer than I expected so....
Is it ok to make token payments via online banking or is it best to send all a postal order in an envelope? The reason I am asking is that in my mind I could send a little more as a token payment via online banking as I wont be paying fees for a postal order and I wont need to buy stamps....
As you can see I have 13 companies to pay so thats 13 stamps and 13 fees on postal orders - help

Anyone know? I have also heard it stops some of the calls and this is driving me insane at all times of day and night!!!
