Seems that is what a lot of people have been doing judging from the posts both here and HOTUK, try it and see, maybe use a different email adress it only takes a few mins to set one up.....so I'v been told;)

EDIT- Just checked my bank account & they have taken the extra £30! However I called then & they said it was an error & are refunding it back!

They took the extra £30 from my card too....when i rang up they said theres no way of refunding the £30 on to my card and that the code could only be used in conjunction with their credit account :rolleyes:

I would ring them again, go with the line that they have taken the payment without your authorisation, i have spoken to 3 people there now & they all said the same that i can have it back! (Dont ask why i have spoken to 3 people, i'm a bit stupid & made a mistake with my order!!!)

i am still having a nightmare - they are refusing to refund the £30 saying it cannot be used in conjunction with the 3 for 2 offer.

What should I do as i'm getting nowhere?

send the stuff back to them, then you're only out of pocket by the delivery charge (if there was one, depends which catalogue you used).

Just rang up again and stated that the amount showing upon checkout should be the final amount i pay.....the nice lady then explained that if you pay by card then you are charged the full amount and then it is refunded when,, or even before you recieve your items.....she said if it is not refunded by then ring up and they will apply the refund to my card....asked her to note all this down on my account so that if i do need to ring back then there will be proof that someone has stated i am entitled to the £30 refund

I wish I had never read this forum as I got carried away not armed with the full picture and now can't cancel my order and realise I would be charged the 1st time £30 discount at a later date as it does not apply to the 342 offer and I got it from this site. What a headache.

The £30 discount codes is generic so can be applied on all first orders for new customers, i've rang up several times now and have not been told yet that it is not valid for the 3 for 2. As long as its your first order you shouldn't be charged the £30 at a later date. HTH

I placed my first order with Marshall Ward this week and got my items all today. I got the 3 for 2 and the £30 refunded to my card in my transactions...

Makes me suspicious all these shop direct group codes ! lol £15 of £25, £30 off £60 and now £50 off £50 spend. Makes me think it's all a con and to make them money during the hard times they're luring everyone in with all these offers that work for anyone and then raking in the money later by taking it back.
