We had a £4k one at work which imo was rubbish, you had to sit at a particular angle to see properly which would annoy me! know there not all like that but still.
That must have been an utter cr*p one! What make was it?
Panasonic and particularly Pioneer Plasmas are far and above other makes of ALL tvs.:idea:0

We've just bought that LG one for our bedroom and its lovely. It was £50 cheaper at Dixons online though.
(sorry, just checked again, now it's £358, but I also found a £10 discount code on-line by googling)Well I can't stand by the side
And watch this life pass me by
 Just want to be...Happy0

Thanks guys i still really like the LG one and if it packs up after 10 months then i will be requesting another under warranty! i love the samsung too but cannot see alot of difference between them apart from price and the name!
Don't want to spend more then around £450 really and the 37" LG is down to £400..anyone beat that with a better tv? (that i like!!)0

I would go for Samsung, i have had a 42in for about 2 years now and it's a great TV.
Not checked there prices but at the time when i brought my TV this company was the cheapest i could find.

I was faced with a similar problem about two years ago. I was torn between a Samsung, LG and a Toshiba.
I would suggest that you take a look at the pictures from both side by side. I find that the image on the Samsung Screens too sharp, try watching an advert for a car on both panels. Look for the spokes on the cars wheels.
At the time I bought mine, the Samsung was by far the sexiest TV, they were shifting boat loads at dixons and currys. Two of my friends both bought Samsung's at a similar time to me, both have now failed, fortunately one was repaired after some hassle with Empire Direct.
I personnaly went for the Toshiba, which uses an LG panel. This is going really strong and the picture quality is stunning. Samsung quote some fantastic stats in there specs, however note that for most of these there are no universally recognised ways of measuring.
My advice would be to look at both pictures side by side.My farts hospitalize small children 0 0

So long as theyre BOTH calibrated, fed by EXACTLY the same signal and use the exact same cabling/extensions:idea:0

for that kind of price this tv may be better in the long run.

Donna thanks but i just dont like how it looks!!
I have seen the Samsung and the LG both side by side and there is very very little difference in picture, i have seen the LG in a different shop too and again very good picture..
I am not that bothered sbout all the fancy bits that go with it as never ever use them and literally watch a bit of tv (no games or pc on it) so a goodish pic is fine for me, we have a 26" phillips at the mo, older type and the pic is fab for what we want so, so long as i can see my EE i'm happy!!0
