    Mine is yesterday.
On the letter they sent me earlier, it said, "You will continue to earn moneyback for debit card payments that we process and apply to your account up to 6th February 2009."

    Tuesday. .
  • I have recently received confirmation that the Halifax have changed my moneyback account to another account which has extra charges and does not offer me benefits which I agreed to when taking out the 'Moneyback' account. How can this be fair? I am now facing a monthly charge of approx £30 as I do tend to be in my overdraft and they are going to apply a £1 a day charge for using my agreed overdraft!!! Nightmare! Has anyone else been caught unexpected by this? and where is the money I have already accrued?
    Im so angry:mad:

The accrued moneyback will be paid to you but I recommend you try and switch banks ASAP if you do not want to pay more for your OD (Presumably you are paying less than £30 per month now) and can't pay it off. Click on 'Banking/Saving' at the top of this page and you can compare best deals on overdrafts and current accounts.

Well they did tell you about it at the start of January. It shouldn't be unexpected.

They are allowed to change the T&Cs of an account if they inform you in advance, giving you a chance to switch to another account if the changes are to your disadvantage.

The moneyback will be put in your account on Tuesday.
  • I must have a problem with my post as I havent received a letter about this at all!! I have just logged online to check my account and had a warning pop up about it!! I will have to change ASAP to stop excessive charges
    Thanks for the advice

Mostly people who don't bother to read their post. Mailings were sent out in January. I'd expect to see quite a few of them pop up here in March once the first round of charges start being applied.
