I have recently received confirmation that the Halifax have changed my moneyback account to another account which has extra charges and does not offer me benefits which I agreed to when taking out the 'Moneyback' account. How can this be fair? I am now facing a monthly charge of approx £30 as I do tend to be in my overdraft and they are going to apply a £1 a day charge for using my agreed overdraft!!! Nightmare! Has anyone else been caught unexpected by this? and where is the money I have already accrued?
 Im so angry:mad:0

The accrued moneyback will be paid to you but I recommend you try and switch banks ASAP if you do not want to pay more for your OD (Presumably you are paying less than £30 per month now) and can't pay it off. Click on 'Banking/Saving' at the top of this page and you can compare best deals on overdrafts and current accounts.I have recently received confirmation that the Halifax have changed my moneyback account to another account which has extra charges and does not offer me benefits which I agreed to when taking out the 'Moneyback' account. Well they did tell you about it at the start of January. It shouldn't be unexpected.
They are allowed to change the T&Cs of an account if they inform you in advance, giving you a chance to switch to another account if the changes are to your disadvantage.
The moneyback will be put in your account on Tuesday.0

Mostly people who don't bother to read their post. Mailings were sent out in January. I'd expect to see quite a few of them pop up here in March once the first round of charges start being applied."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0
