You do know that overdraft matching is not guaranteed at A&L? In fact, a great many are refused if their accounts haven't been returned to credit for x days per month, or they simply fail A&L's credit scoring assessment. As it says on their site, overdrafts and the overdraft matching offer is "subject to status". If you've already got the A&L facility in the bag, then well done. :) Just thought I'd mention it's not all plain sailing with A&L.
Just logged in to the A&L site and they have given me a £700 overdraft. Probably because I have available (not used) overdrafts of £3400 with Halifax :rotfl:

I have an overdraft of £720 on the account I'm moving, so this actually works out quite well for me. I shall look forward to seeing how this move goes as I have never changed a bank account before!

If this all works out, I should make the following from this switch:
    • £100 welcome from A&L
    • £84 Moneyback from Halifax
    • £50 cashback from Quidco
    • £25 for recommending my friend who also wants to move from Halifax/Bank of Scotland
If all these incentives are paid, that will be a total of £259 :D

Keep the Halifax account open and move that £250 from A&L to Halifax then back again using faster payments 4 times each month to get the £5 a month from the Halifax too.

That is the Moneyback they owe me from my old Moneyback account.

I don't need to transfer my £250 back and forward either as I am keeping another account with Halifax which will be funded with £1000+ per month and I am making this a Reward account as I don't go overdrawn on that particular account.

So I will get my £5 per month reward payment and if all my incentives come through, over £250.

    Whoop whoop :j

Why not keep two Halifax current accounts and make an extra £60 a year?

I'm thinking about doing that, but want to make sure I have my A&L and other Halifax account working for me first.

I don't want to tie myself up in a knot of bank transfers :rotfl:

I don't think you can see it online, but it does show on your bank statement on the front page. £83 was how much I was owed in Moneyback at my last statement, so I think it will be a little bit more when the account changes in a couple of weeks!
