  one thing that really PEEVES me is people saying "great job FSCS" when they get their 2nd email and claim. It's a childish, selfish attitude. I have my money in the bank now but I don't think they have done a great job at all. At best it's been a C+, i.e. could do MUCH better next time....0

middle of week three of the payouts and no second email yet. I'm starting to get a serious sense of humour failure now :mad:0

2nd e-mail came in at 18.50. I was out this evening and have just come in and checked and there it was.
Feel strengely flat and almost guilty as, having caught up with the thread, it's obvious that hardly anyone else got theirs today. Why does it have to be such a lottery? I feel like I've been through the wringer and every day has seemed like a fortnight. Don't know how I'd have coped without all you guys.
Do you mind if I stick around till we're all out of the mire? The longer it goes on the worse it gets. Don't feel a bit like celebrating till we can do it together.0 -

I think a lot of people feel the same TBH.
It is the 2nd week since they actually started the payouts though.
My main concern is not so much with the delay at getting my money it's more the amount of interest I will be losing in the next few years because of inability to resave the cash in a replacement Fixed rate account because with rates falling as the days tick by there will be no decent account left when the cash finally arrives.
I also wish they would tell us what is actually happening with the payments rather than the wishy-washy stuff they put on their web site.0 -

Yes do stick around, the people who are still waiting only get annoyed with smug people who come here gloating and lecturing us how we should be grateful and how wonderful the FSCS are.0 -
