Is the tiny typeface forum you mention Moneysupermarket? I looked there sometime ago and found it very difficult to feel comfortable with, as you say the typeface is difficult to read and the forum design is awkward IMHO.

It's not quite as bad as that TBH, there are only 220,000 (approx) customers so it's not 300,000 emails, and they said that the initial quantity sent was only around 10,000 to test the system and now they suggest they have increased the numbers sent so I would say that they have around 150,000 still to send at approx 10,000-12,000 per day = approx another 15 days. (hopefully)

Yes - and you would find it very uncomfortable to get on with the moderator who seems irritated that he has to do the job and dons his little Hitler cap at the slightest criticism. I mean it's hardly an abusive forum!
