    GOT MINE TODAY!!!

Joke is not bothered with computer today been busy gardening.Logged on tonight 9.30pm 10 emails like
usual amazon etc one says invitation email--WHAT
this is it. initiate and thats it then. Why I am excited
about getting my own money back which is only
    £6700 anyway I don't know.It must be reading the
posts on here all this time and suffering a nervous
buildup at the end better than an organsm organims
    orgaismn err ----big thrill !!
Seriously many thanks to all for interesting and
amusing posts on this thread and good luck to those
still waiting it won't be long now and like others I will
still read this amazing thread to also offer my support
    if needed.

Err can I help you with your orgasm. I'm referring to the spelling, whatdya think i meant....
    :rotfl:
    Many congrats!
  • Money arrived home for two of us today. Neither of us received a second email despite receiving the first ones ok. Only received one confirmation email for a total of 8 accounts (mixture of isas, fixed and ordinary accounts). The supposed 'orderly' process ended up feeling more like looting as I grabbed what I could while the web site seemed to be collapsing around me on Tuesday when I found that I could 'initiate'. Now begins the wait for the ISA certificates.

A big 'Thank You' to all on here who made the wait both amusing and informative - you certainly got me over the initial  phase very quickly!
  • I know I only joined this thread in the last 2 days (How i wish i had found it sooner and had some comfort through all the horrible mess!!) but I wanna thank everyone as well, it has made a huge difference to know that others were (and unfortunately a few are still) feeling as down and worried as me. Lets hope the money reaches all of us quickly and safely and I never wanna be in this situation ever again!
Good luck to everyone, hope to see you all in a happier thread next time around!

My money (sorry, compensation!) arrived in my account today. As someone has already said, the only efficient thing that has happened since this whole sorry mess started. It actually appeared online last night so I've already transferred some of it out to my new account at Northern Rock.

Thanks again to everyone, particularly Nilrem, Chameleon, Amistupid and Suesie (and, really, countless others!) for making this thread a real support to us all.

I've still got plenty to worry about, not savings related, so I can now go and concentrate on that again!!! Of course, I'll give a daily thought to how long it will take my ISA certificate to emerge, but we do have until April of next year before we have to panic!!

Good luck to everyone still awaiting their paper claims. Keep us informed of how you get on :)

Just another word I ,,would like to go back to when it was announced that Icesave had gone out of business.I for one was very relieved to hear our chancellor Mr Darling say that no british saver would suffer a loss ,and, true enough thanks to the Fscs who most of us do not realize how difficult a task they have had ,we have been reunited with our money.I personally am ever grateful for this I am not creeping just expressing my thanks especially to the Fscs and their team.
  • No second email no acknowledgement email of claim BUT my money arrived in my bank account today I am so relieved!!!! At least one good thing has come out of this mess is that I have discovered this website! Now I just have to read up on where next for my money (somewhere a bit safer this time). Many thanks to everyone here for your support.
