I had my 3rd emails this morning, confirming my claims from last night on both accounts - 1 for each. Both were received exactly 15 hours after the claims were made. I now look forward to having my money back on Wednesday if BACS is still going through fast, or Friday at the latest.
Since they're sending out 10,000 emails a day, I consider myself very lucky to have been in only the 5th batch - meaning I was just within the first 25%. It looks like they're doing full batches over the weekend now too. I really was preparing myself for a 30th November email.
Good luck everyone.0 -
'the vast majority.......'

Hmmmmm I've received no emails whatsoever in my personal inbox today. Would I be paranoid for wondering whether it's even working properly? Think I'll email myself just to check“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

FWIW, they have just reported on Money Box that FSCS have today confirmed they are still on track to meet the original objective that 'the vast majority of people should receive their compensation by the end of November'.
Thanks. Heard that also.
For anyone not busy cleaning their driveway with a toothbrush, connecting a DVD through a sky box or sourcing an icelandic dictionary to check their word for nil (I believe it is null for those whose linguistic skills are not as good as mine), then the short section is on the iplayer at 19 minutes 15 seconds at

From waht they report it sounds like the number of second emails sent out so far is a state secret. If anybody finds a confidential FSCS document relating to this on the 16:43 London to Doncaster train could they please post.
ThanksMSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here0 -
Not received my second email yet but "accidentally" logged in to my account and noticed that it's set up to allow me to claim (link to FSCS compensation against the account details). It's very tempting to click it and see what happens, especially when interest rates from other banks are going down and your money is sitting there earning none. I expect I'll sit here and tap my fingers though until the email arrives.:(
Try it! Nothing happens. I know, because I try it once a day. It just tells you to wait for the 2nd email.
By the way, still waiting ... and actually feeling mightily p*ssed off that I wasn't among the lucky ones yesterday evening and this morning.
To think this can go on for another two weeks!0 -
According to the FSCS site we will get an update on the second e-mail process early next week.
"An update on the first and second emails will be provided early next week."0 -
I'd just like to add, for those worried about not being able to access their email, or that it might be blocked, or any other reason, if your account is eligible to claim against you will know as soon as you login to Icesave - it greets you with a notification when you first login after they have sent that 2nd email to you (regardless of whether or not you actually receive said 2nd email). My advice would be to login every evening just in case.0
