Sorry to disappoint, I was merely expressing a personal point of view. I served more years than I care to remember in the Merchant Navy which I feel gives me the right to an opinion. A for being "manly" I think I earned that a lot of years ago.

I agree you have a right to an opinion but NOt because you were in the merchant navy, that was just a job and hopefully we all have a job, you have a right to an opinion as a person.

Hi, I just wanted to remind people that while the first email was supposed to be sent to everybody during 1 week (the last one), the second email is supposed to be out during the rest of the month, meaning 3 weeks.
We're only at the end (middle? since they're working weekends) of week 1 out of 3, so there's still plenty of time before starting to worry.

Of course, everybody wants their money asap (me included!), but let's relax a bit (otherwise, being on holidays and away from a computer for a whole week I'll be in a state of permanent panic...)

Actually, scarletbea, I think that being away from one's computer for a week is probably a wonderful idea. It's just it sitting there makes me turn it on, just to check. I hope you have a great holiday and that when you return (and immediately check your e-mails) your second e-mail is just sitting there waiting for you.
And when you sit by the pool in the evening for your first martini of the day, pause and think of us, hunched over our keyboards................

TBH I'm working on the assumption that I'll have the money for Christmas and anything else is a bonus. It's not worth making yourself ill about it, we are the lucky ones, the money WILL come back, just maybe not this week or even next.

Saturday morning and still no 2nd e-mail. In fact fewer emails into my inbox than I normally see... (gulp)...
I do know my ISP has introduced a spam filter... (gulp) - hope it isn't filtering out FSCS mail :eek::eek:

Ok, no more jesting, I got my invitation email at 09:24 this morning (yes Saturday) and have done the deed.

No gloating, just a comment that if good things happen to people as cynical and pessimistic as me, it must happen to you, hopefully soon! This group has been a great support, thanks :A

Though I do seem to be receiving a higher amount of boring cr*p at the moment. Or maybe I'm just more sensitive to the *ding* sound I get whenever I receive an email.
