That's what I like, a pet owner with a no-nonsense, not soppy-eyed attitude to their animal !
Absolutely....although when he looks at me with those big brown eyes, I forget everything I've said and dole out the doggie treats. There's never any hope for a dog/cat/rabbit/gerbil/etc. owner.Sheryl
An Icesaver no more :T0 -
Yep you me and a reported 100,000 others:mad:
If I am honest I never though I would be waiting this long but as each day passes with no success I feel less and less positive about ever getting that damn 2nd email!
|I know it is nothing remotely similar, but I wonder if the men in WW1 got a similar feeling waiting in the trenches for the command.0 -

Strikes me as totally nuts to invest £300K with a max £50K compensation limit. How lucky can you get? They should have made him sweat.
That is very unkind and uncharitable, you do not know their circumstances, for example they may have just sold their house and put it there temp while looking for another.
And many of us are sweating whether we had £500 or £500,000 with Icesave.0 -
As if things couldn't get any worse, my son has just been made redundant with immediate effect“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Would I be cycnical in thinking that the FSCS purposely delayed sending out today's email to prevent any BACS payments being processed until next week? All those receiving emails today got them at 16.41 “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Sorry to hear your news and hope you get your second e-mail soon I don't mind if you get yours before me as you are more deserving than I0 -
No groceries, just a leg stretch, have they introduced massage counters?
Ah, you see, if you know the 'right' people you can get all sorts of extras at WaitroseI'll be glad to put you in touch  ...in exchange for a certain bl**dy email!
(sounds so much more glamourous than the real reason for my trip: was out of milk, also had to pick up tea and a box of Bendick's mints for my in-laws who live abroad).0 -

Thank you for the sentiment :A but I don't think I'm any more deserving than anyone else here though“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

That's bad news, really sorry to hear that.
And as for being cynical about the FSCS' timing: I think you are being quite realistic actually. I wouldn't put it past them.:think:0
