I am in the process of finishing off my 21 pots of gold, 16 for the Christmas table, 4 for grandchildren's teachers and I've done 1 for a friend as we said we would not bother buying each other presents this year ....so a bit of a token present !
I'll post a pic when they are all done !0 -

Well I'm proud to say I've made my first ever 4 and i'm so impressed (even if I do say so myself).
I got a 2pack gold and clear candles holders from poundshop x 2 £2
Bag of money coins from poundshop £1
Wurthers Originals (you guessed it) from poundshop £1 )
Wurthers toffees £1 ) Loads left over for me ;-)
Pack of 4 twix £1
Pack of 4 mini toblerone £1
4 gold crackers (free off xmas tree last year :money:)
4 gold parcels (again off xmas tree last year)
4 gold stars (yep off the tree)
I already had my cello bags and ribbon etc. so I made 4 excellent pressies for next to nothing and they get to keep a lovely glass candle holder at the end of it all.
I used the poem:
The leprechauns of Ireland, bring this pot of gold your way,
Its full of love and happiness, for you on Christmas Day.
My friends will love it as I'm half Irish and I'm sure they'll think 'what a lovely thought' - or I hope they will!
Thank you all soooooo much for your inspiration and ideas. Right this afternoon I'm attempting the Snowman Soup.....Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
Thank you so much, will go into town on tue and start my pots of gold hunt.
My 50 snowman soup went down well at the school fair today.0 -
Thanks to all those who have contributed to this as it's given me lots of inspiration! I'm going to do pots of gold for my niece and nephew who are now in their late teens and impossible to buy for.
So far, I've got 2 gold flower-pots donated by my Mum (she's saved them from previous Christmas's, think they had poinsettia's in them). I've got gold shredded paper to put in the bottom of the pots. Some gold coins and Wispa Gold's. Just need to get the scratchcards and put them together to see if they need anything else.0 -
Hi all - really sorry but I know this answer is on here (as I must have found it last year), but my computer has crashed since last year, wiping all docs, icnluding... my Pots of Gold labels - aaarrrgghhhhh!!!!
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find them again???!!! I would be very grateful x0 -
Phew, after having an exam this morning I found myself with the afternoon to myself! Very rare! So I whacked on VH1 with xmas vids and have just made my 11 pots of gold! Am shattered! My labels took forever and cellophane is very not fun but hey ho! All done and put away, 7 for xmas dinner, 4 for childminders and assistants and 1 for my good friend who has helped me thru a tough year! Feel all christmassy now! x0
