By the christmas decs and smellies sets in tesco they had hanging on a strip little gold compacts, think they were £2 ish each. I also got some little led push light keyring torches on ebay sent from Hong Kong for couple quid each, they more brass than gold but close enough and good for the mens pots! x

Really sorry to bother you all - I want to make some of these for Boxing Day, but I can't find any gold coloured pots in the shops, any ideas on where to find some relatively cheap ones? I need 6...

I've been looking for mine for ages, still havn't found any i really like so i'm going to homebase to get terracotta plant pots (50p each) and then im going to paint them gold (£1.50 for a big bottle of gold paint) i thought people could keep theirpots too and i could add in any relevant decorations to the individual pots.

I just buy the packs of 4 for a £1 glass mixer tumblers ........put in gold lametta tinsel, then gold sweets, scratchcard..wrap in cellophane with small gold stars on and add my pot of gold verse.......and then afterwards they are left with a drinking glass they can use.
