but I tried out the gold glass pen on a white ramekin today (Poundland have packs of 4) and it worked a treat, plus it has the added benefit of allowing you to write people's names on. I think that's what I'm going with, now I just need to get on with it!

Im a little stuck as to what to put in my dads pot, he is diabetic so even if I get diabetic choc he can only have 1 thing really - he isnt the candle sort lol I was thinking of getting random little things and wrapping them in gold paper - what do you think? Im really struggling

I think that's lovely - if that's what he'd like, why not do it? What are the sorts of things you have in mind for him? Maybe people will be able to suggest 'golden options' on them!

Oh thanks mandrgora I was worried it was a bit naff compared to mums which is all gold but I might wrap something for her as well so it matches.
I was going to get him miniatures - a whisky as he'd rather that than choc I think. A linx bullet maybe, but I was hoping to get some hawkins bazzar type silly gifts ...not entirely sure

Mum has choc coins,teddy and crunchie plus nail scissors and file,a note book and pencil and of course the scratch card. She would probably like a light up duck from hawkins I think it was

They've got the Hershey's Kisses on offer in asda, I'm not sure but I think they were £2 and lots of different varieties.

Aww thanks hun, didnt even think to look there, too late now but I got loads of other goodies at a good price too, so not too upset. Will remember for next year though. It used to be so hard to get hold of american chocs, I guess they are getting much more popular xx
