May be worth looking on eBay for stuff like that.
Soap: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pack-10-Gold-Grapefruit-Heart-Shaped-Guest-Soap-/200596354592?pt=UK_HeathBeauty_BathShowCons_RL&hash=item2eb4797620#ht_500wt_1054
Candles (apparently only get 2 of ones in the pics though so better deals can be found probably): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-Gold-Glitter-Tea-Light-Candle-Wedding-Christmas-Party-/280747251611?pt=UK_Candles&hash=item415dd7179b#ht_1382wt_1037
Or looking at this....

You could maybe get some gold glitter and some glue and dip the silver casing of normal tealights in?

Lush do a gold bubble bar with proper gold glitter on it: https://phoenix.lush.co.uk/product/382/Sunnyside-Bubble-Bar
Or a golden wonder: https://phoenix.lush.co.uk/product/5683/Golden-Wonder-Bath-Bomb
But obv are quite pricy but if doing the odd 'special' one as a gift it's worth considering.Princess Sparklepants0 -
Just to help everyone, these are the plastic tumblers I bought at the weekend for my Christmas Pots:

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/christmas-melamine-santa-design/

It's the 4 pack on tumblers on the right of each image, not bad for 25p each!!!VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -

i rather like these:
http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/2-glass-candle-decorations/
but I tried out the gold glass pen on a white ramekin today (Poundland have packs of 4) and it worked a treat, plus it has the added benefit of allowing you to write people's names on. I think that's what I'm going with, now I just need to get on with it!0 -

I think that's lovely - if that's what he'd like, why not do it? What are the sorts of things you have in mind for him? Maybe people will be able to suggest 'golden options' on them!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
Oh thanks mandrgora
I was worried it was a bit naff compared to mums which is all gold but I might wrap something for her as well so it matches.
I was going to get him miniatures - a whisky as he'd rather that than choc I think. A linx bullet maybe, but I was hoping to get some hawkins bazzar type silly gifts ...not entirely sure
Mum has choc coins, teddy and crunchie plus nail scissors and file,a note book and pencil and of course the scratch card. She would probably like a light up duck from hawkins I think it wasLife happens, live it well.0 -
