:rotfl: I couldn't believe I'd let myself eat 2 of the nets - was trying so hard to be good as bought the cauldrons from Asda and realised just how many I'd need to pad it out :rotfl: luckily Wilkos are BOGOF at a pound (and bloody yummy tasting :);) ) and poundworld has 6 fererro roche for a pound so hoping it won't be too bad ;) (especially if santa is watching and I have to be good ;).

.... Actually, I think what will be harder is not nicking a couple of the loose £4's worth of gold covered sweets I bought yesterday from the Market. There are downsides to being organised :rotfl:

I once ate everyones christmas presents 3 times..wasn't great! It's my first year living with the OH and even with him keeping an eye on me I've eaten a box of Terrys all gold (oh the shamme!)

I'm thinking of trying this.. the couldrons seem like a good idea, might pop into wilkinson today and see if I can get any, I don't have much money this year, and don't want to just give people little gifts, but I think this'd pad out their presents nicely..

Edit : Humph, saw ferrero rocher 2 boxes for £6 in mr T's and the OH didn't trust me to buy them this early..

The Co-Op now has the £1 Christmas scratch cards in - I bought 10 on Sunday.

They also have the bags of mini crunchies - 2 for £2.50.

I also bought 2 bags of their own brand gold wrapper eclairs.

I was just about to post and ask you how much they were then! Doh!
  • Anyone not doing their pots in gold?!

I've never done pots before but planning on doing about 10/12 this year and picked up some festive plastic tumblers out of poundland at the weekend.

Packs of 4 with Santa/Penguins/Reindeer on them, white tumblers with blue/red pictures. Then picked up a pack of 12 candy canes in Home Bargains for 89p

Have decided I'm now doing christmas pots rather than gold as I thought you get the scratchcards in christmas design.

Anyone got any ideas on what other sweets I can put in them?

First year doing these but mega excited about it! Am doing 5 for pre school teacher and childminder and assistants and 5 adults and 2 littles for xmas table.

Been in Sainsburys today and they have the multipacks of fun size crucnhies for £1 guess maybe for Halloween. Little Lindt teddie chocs are 3 for £1.Box of 15 Ferrero £3. Also found some fab little crackers with sweets in, all colours but i dug through for the gold ones!!! LOL! Picked up packs of 2x gold pens from poundland too.

Anyone know where I could get little pot of lipbalm in a gold tin? Or gold soap or gold tealight? xxx
