I just got some lovely gold coloured charms on ebay for 30p (plus 60p postage) But I have no idea quite what to use them for! any ideas? they were an impulse buy, thankfully a cheap one LOL!

You could thread one on to a parcel tag and write the name of the recipient in gold pen?

  • Hi, ive just stumbled across this thread, ive started at the beginning to read through it all but im at work and can only come on here when i havent any work to do, can someone please explain this pots of gold to me - are they for presents, or to go with your christmas dinner?? I made hampers for everyone last year and was planning on doing them this year but wanted to do something a little bit different. My OH has a BIG family, 9 brothers and sisters, all married each with approx 3 kids each, usually i just do a big family hamper for them all, with a kids game for the children and bits and peices in it for the rest. I might just do this instead this year tho. Ill be trying to catch up in the next few days.

They're for anything you want them to be :) They can be presents, secret santa gifts, dinner gifts or a token gift or a present ready for if someone springs a present on you without you knowing.

I do little ones for table gifts and larger ones for full gifts.

Does anyone happen to know, if i draw on some white ramekins with a glass pen, will it stay on or wash off? Thinking of drawing gold stars etc.

Not sure, can you pick up something cheap in ceramic and try if noone else knows? :)

Bought more gold coins today along with santas and snowmen with the tubes of sweets for Christmas.

    WILL NOT EAT THEM.

    ... Promise :rotfl:
