I really don't feel I can add anything more concrete to this thread other than to vow my continued support for you all and a promise to keep lurking.
However, before I exit, I would offer what I hope will be a constructive suggestion; it would help you to get a lot more publicity and coverage in any of NI media.
Unfortunately the newspaper reporters here, are in the main, a lazy lot and don't bother foraging or researching news, they are used to it gift wrapped and put in their laps [old days, old ways] and basically regurgitate stuff from yorn. Think TV are a bit more advanced and 'out there'.
It would be a good idea to generate any additional coverage - I say this because I scoured the Sunday Life [which I think is one of the main Sunday's here] yesterday and not a mention, so I then trawled some of the sites specific to NI matters and again not a sausage.
Even if everyone writes or emails all media [tv, radio, papers, websites, etc.] on a 'blanket basis' it would be a start. If you can organise it, a series of follow-up press releases would be good too.0 -

The administrator know you'd find out before everyone else anyway and decided to save on the postage :rotfl:0 -

Does he have the link to the forum??0 -
crazymesss - Understand your reply, but neither I, nor any relatives have money with PMS, so I have no personal issues on this matter, but I do have sympathy for all those badly done by.
I thought I had previously made it quite clear that my posts were made in a supportive role.
Apologies if you believed otherwise.
I used to work in PR and was hoping to give a useful input.
That is good news re the Newsletter reporter, but please believe me, one paper is not enough to rely on and if PMS savers want to get their say and "scream it from the rooftops", they are going to need more coverage by whatever means it takes, fair means or foul.0 -
In the first of our (New Statesman) series on faith in a financial crisis .....the Presbyterian Church in Ireland's Moderator reflects how the credit crunch has shaken trust in his institution

Thanks for the link; I think it reads quite well. Here is an excerpt but I encourage you to read the whole article. I do of course appreciate that words without action are useless ( James 2:14-26 ).
"There are those who feel the Church has misled them, and, because it has been pointed out that the Mutual is an independent organisation, that the Church has disowned them. Confidence in both the Presbyterian Mutual Society and in the Presbyterian Church has been shaken. "
Christian faith is being tested, and, just as the principle of mutuality in financial terms has been under severe pressure, so the bond of caring fellowship is under strain. At such a crucial time, it is vital for all in the Church ‘…to carry each other’s burdens and in this way…fulfil the law of Christ.’ (St Paul’s letter to the Galatians chapter 6, verse 2)"

It really is vital that a group comes together with a view to pursuing any/all legal remedies.
Until it is established in a court of law who can be held responsible for this fiasco we are left in the hands of the Administrator and with an outcome where we are the losers.
At this time PCI & the Directors are obviously content that they are not at risk.0 -

Sorry if you misunderstood me - I am only delighted for all your support - I wasn't querying you -0
