I phoned also about the same time as you did on 11th Nov and I was told my savings was safe, ( I had no idea there was a problem) just reassuring myself).
Then about an hour later it was on the Radio ulster News - at this point words fail me!!!! I can't find words.0 -
Crazymess is right.
I am waiting patiently to find out when all the hard work that we have been promised is going on by everyone behind the scenes comes to fruition. The problem is that the administrator has to deliver a report to DETI and FSA and since it is not going to be made public, common sense would indicate that it will make gruesome reading.
After all, what has been said time and time again on this forum, the PMS worked outside of their remit. I don't credit myself with many brains but I am fairly sure that if I have worked it out then many other more learned persons in more prestigious positions in law, politics and government have also worked this out and will be wondering why the church are not stepping up to the plate to offer an action plan or better still the money to cover the deficit!
My opinion is that PCI know that there has been wrongdoing too and that is why the handwashing took place so quickly. How could they associate themselves with this type of activity so it is better to drop the whole thing like a hot potato and never worry about the reality of people's situations?
Please please understand that there is a great big deficit.0 -
Many savers know of this and many do not - it still shocks me that in and around churches and chatting to people - they think this will be alright in the end. It makes me so sad -
My experience is the same; I wish I had a £1 for every time I have heard some-one say re the PMS "People shouldn't be panicking, everything will be ok."
It annoys me greatly that people whom I would consider intelligent and enlightened think that PMS investors who are experiencing financial, emotional and spititual hardship as a result of having money in the PMS are thought to be fussing unnecessarily. :eek:0 -

Yes, Ballyblack, what NL have done is very good as people may be more inclined to approach the paper rather than any of the rest of us since we are all involved.
So people are now being given the opportunity to give the information rather than just talk about with each other.
