Martin has never said this - he states that there MAYBE more protection with a Visa Card due to chargeback, but I doubt he's anti-mastercard :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :money:

You should get your eyes tested. Nowhere did I mention Mastercard in my post.

  • Hi guys

I am contemplating placing another AP order as the contents of our previous are running low - apart from the huge amount of prawn cocktail crisps.

After the publication of the FT article - will the high brow readers place millions of orders rendering us paupers senseless with our non delivery?

Well, I'm going to have a go now before AP goes into melt down

Dan - all the best. Make me an offer over 50k plus accommodation and I'll come and sort out your business.

I was really looking forward to using this shop and even got lots of family interested but I think the £5.25 was the killer.

Actually, it was £10+ delivery for about £20 worth of food, which was a bit steep so we removed a couple of heavy items worth a few quid but still £5.25 for £15 of items was a bit steep enough if it was going by weight.

Will love to go shop here but will do so if the delivery charges ever change.

Putting this into a bit of perspective though, we live less than 50 miles from Worksop which is where the wharehouse is, but the amount we would pay in petrol would be the same as the delivery charge.

For all of you that are concerned, I have just placed order number 3, and each time I have been very pleased with the quality, packaging and customer service that Dan has provided. My order has always been correct, alternatives have been offered for any items out of stock, and refunds made to my card in the event that there has been no alternative. Shipping details have always come out to me with tracking codes and the bit I like is I get an email to tell me that it has been delivered and signed for, so even if someone else has taken it in for me then I know where to go and fetch it from.

Its horses for courses but when you consider that as a nation we throw away 1/3 of the food that we buy every week because of these wretched best before dates, then I am more than happy to buy at a fraction of the cost the stuff that would only be thrown into a landfill site. I have a freezer and am not afraid to use it :rotfl:

I put my 5th order in yesterday, very very happy with what i have got so far and it has saved us loads,:j £5.25 for postage is very reasonable espically with the price of petrol and wear and tear on your car.
We will be using this site on a regular basis, so keep up the good work big D.:D

Any chance of some more of the polish beans and bacon "Pudski" i think it was called.:rotfl:

    I'll stick with Ocado thanks.
Been on to the Ocado site and I think I'm missing something - the prices are far higher, in fact about the same as Tesco's, so why bother going there when Tesco's would be more convenient? ApprovedFood offers far cheaper prices.

Mutter, I'll stick with ApprovedFoods thanks.

Terrible shame that Whyme got so easily offended and deleted his/her post(I feel a bit responsible for that). what I said was a bit sort of tongue in cheek.
I do hope that Whyme gets back to this thread and I will try to send a pm with the link I think.
So easy to hear a bit of something and it gets out of context as you havent heard it all.
WELL DONE DAN! Thats what we like to see! Power to the working man!
Oh no I feel responsible.. sorry. I shouldn't stay up so late.
ALso on the ft front- at least it wasn't the Mail ( yet) so there may not be the biggest rush- though I suppose the upper classes are reknowned for loving a bargain so maybe there will be.
  • Just placed my first order, I'm quite excited :o

I've noticed that people have mentioned that they have asked DHL to leave their parcel in the garden etc but I didn't get any opportunity to do that, does anyone know if I can add it anywhere?
