mind you £43 on the train seems cheap? is that return from Glasgow?
Cheapest i could find was 2 singles which still came in about £80....

we can finalise nearer the time, but i'm happy to drive anyone that needs it, all helps with the costs! and i enjoy driving so no worries on that score....

Yep - that was a return ticket, singles worked out as more for me in this instance. I suppose you are coming from considerably further up the country;) Also that's a guesstimate as trainline don't actually make tickets available more than 3 months in advance so that was a January fare. I'll look again in March and see if I can get a bargainous single deal:p
    26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%
    28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%

we can always try and coordinate trains...???

i'll happily drive if it works out cheaper/easier that way... Vicar Lane Travelodge, where i have booked, doesn't have it's own free parking, you need to use NCP which is probably going to be an extra £30 for a weekend...(total guess but i paid £15 to park at Liverpool Premier inn NCP in Easter.)

The Vicar Lane travelodge is right on the start of the race, so may well fillup pretty quickly..... i'm going to add another night to my booking now.... as much as i can't really afford it til payday...
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Well I'm going to stick hotel on my egg card this afternoon, will pay entry fee on payday and will worry about travelling next year. With the parking it's probably not going to be any cheaper to drive than take train unless you get a full car but like you say we can worry about that closer to the time.

I'm all excited - want to gp for a run now:rotfl:  :rotfl:

oops - must dash - meeting Hubbles for lunch in 10mins!

Fair enough Sammy. I dodn't dare turn PC on while I was studying as I knew I'd get even less done if I did!

I'm feeling a bit shaken. Some guy (Must have ben running for a train or something) just barrelled right into me and almost knocked me down:mad: . He hit into Bean quite hard too so I'm a bit upset :(
