I feel sick my dad has just rung me to inform me that he has opened a letter addressed to the occupier (meant fro my Mum) and the letter stated that they were going to reprosses their house I know my Mum had money problems as she asked me for a loan at the beginning of the year but as she wouldn't talk about it I didn't know just how bad it is!! My Dad doesn't know about the money I gave her and would hit the roof if he did... I wouldn't mind but he has never been one to help my mum out (separate finances) I just feel so bad and I don't know what to do........
I suppose I shouldn't really be telling you all but as I have no one else to tell.........
oh Fu** sh** what a pile of crap...............

    Jet thats utterly pants!!!

Also pants is the cost of a quick run - £43 for train, £58 for room (if stay 2 nights) and £21 for run BEFORE food and drink!!! That's more than I'll be getting a week in mat. pay....

You'd better be worth it you lot! :p

My Dad doesn't do talking very well.... He seems to think that it is all my Mums fault which of course it is partly but some of the blame should fall on him... he has only just in the last few months started to give my mum money towards household bills and food... My Mum is a bit of a spendthrift Personally I think that she is depressed and uses buying crap as her way of feeling better (don't we all) I think the the root of the problem is the fact that we don't talk as a family and we have been through some very crap times... but still no one talks........... I just hope that there is something that we can do to sort all this mess out but I fear that it will all be to little to late... would mind but her house is worth loads.................. I really feel like crying.. if it's not one thing it's another...........

awwww honey... sorry to hear all this.... Still, i would say if anyone can help her through this it will be you.. she's lucky to have you, as long as she lets you help... Are you far away from her?

BTW - when i say help her, i mean to get info and advice, not to give her more money babes... in case that was how it came across.....

you've a wealth of information at your fingertips here, and the problem will be manageable if you maybe take a little control and help her get through it....

Luc - we could car share if you fancy it? cheaper than 2 sets of train fare, cheaper still if we split the costs with anyone else....? jinky? Skint spice? Beanielou? or any other scots we can convince?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

She must have known this was coming too. The poor thing must be so stressed out carrying all that by herself! Is the house just in your Mum's name then? I hope something can be done to fix things!

mind you £43 on the train seems cheap? is that return from Glasgow?
Cheapest i could find was 2 singles which still came in about £80....

we can finalise nearer the time, but i'm happy to drive anyone that needs it, all helps with the costs! and i enjoy driving so no worries on that score....

Yes she must have known but from what I can see she has her head firmly in the sand!! I will have to try with all my might to pull her out! Yes the house is just in her name which I used to think was a good idea........... I only live around the corner but all though we see each other regually I wouldn't say we were close to be honest.... far to many secrets I think to be honest.. I have always tried to keep all my problems to myself so's not to worry her but perhaps I shouldn't have perhaps then she would have told me more.....
Your right Maz I do have loads of information at my finger tips if only I could get her to use it .. as obviously giving her money didn't help it wasn't even a small amount either................. And to be honest she has got a lot lot better in the past few months regarding money so I really do hope we can sort this mess out
    Thanks to everyone..............
