In order to put these poll results into context it would be good to know how many forum users were Icesave customers. While interesting to see the amounts per day we have no idea what proportion of the overall claims this may represent.

Perhaps a one option poll could be initiated so that all customers can click there to get this figure. If not a two option poll with DO NOT USE on the second option would get the same answer.

Steady on now. That sounds a bit technical for a novice lol. I'll see what I can do later.

You're doing a grand job Sloughflint!

My mum is awaiting her second email (guess who introduced her) so a new poll would be very welcome. Same question as this week.

The other question everyone who has not received their second email is asking of course is "What percentage of icesave customers have been sent second emails so far?" Only a separate poll could really identify this. Not sure if it is worth having a separate (say weekend) poll "have you received your second email yes or no?" Leave it to you to decide. Perhaps one poll is already enough (?).

At the end of today are you intending to give us a Peter Snow like analysis of the polling results so far?

We probably all need to keep up awareness on other threads of the existence of the poll.

I've had a second email today (Friday 14th) at around 4.30pm. I was one of the last to receive the first email as well, so I have no idea how they've arranged the process!

Very pleased to have initiated the claim, yay!

2nd Email on Thursday 13th Surname begins with a 'F'

assume its a randomly selected order for claims. process very easy indeed (if it works now!)

Surely the thank you should be to the IT staff of Newcastle Building Society?

The Government is providing the money to FSCS but the old IceSave systems are actually paying it. Unless anything has changed that is Newcastle BS.

Still waiting for 2nd email

The system has now been proven to work. Somebody should turn the tap on faster. Other IT systems measure their payment volumes in millions of transactions in one batch - how do you think the government pays benefits?
