Matt - I also ordered this phone on Xmas day and am still waiting.. We may be lucky and get it today as I assume they would have shipped it yesterday (and the email I received from Orange said it would be delivered within 2 working days)..
Let me know when you receive yours..

Just noticed Orange are doing the Nokia 6630 Symbian phone on their refurbished website. An alternative to the Windows mobile OS. Not sure how good the phone is though.

This phone (or a similar phone) has MSN messenger
Can you use MSN messenger on PAYG? And how much does it cost?
What are your overall impressions?0 -

I assume your talking about the SPV C550. I havent got one yet. Think I'm going for the C600 when my contract runs out. I've had several generations of the orange "smart phones", currently using the C500. The latest ones are simply great and in my opinion blow all other phones away. I use it for satnav also and that works really well.
As for MSN messenger. Works ok, bit of a pain to type but same as text messages. Costs a fortune unless you have a free GPRS package. You cant leave it on as it is always contacting MSN and runs up a huge bill.
Theres someone who costed it for an an hour over on modaco.com. Digging up the post would be a bit difficult though ;-)0 -

Order on the 22nd arrived on the 23rd and only managed to unlock it just today. I am very impressed with it so far ...but need to suss out the cheapest way to sat nav the phone. I have a Medion pocket PC kit (non bluetooth) I am thinking that I could simply get away with transfering the software and then just purchasing a bluetooth gps receiver of ebay. Any ideas?Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?0 -
Could anybody who has been able to remove the application lock and sim unlock pm me, with how they succeeded and what software was used. Thanks in advance0

I've had loads of fun with this! Mine came on the friday (What ever date that was!)
I've managed to decert the phone so I can run unsigned software, and make my own using Visual Studio.Net.
Managed to unlock it, and o2 sims work - so does the internet, but MSN does not (Due to PAYG blocked ports on o2!).
I've filled my 512 Card (I WANT A 1GB NOW!) with couple of simpsons episodes, 80 songs (128 kbps), few video clips etc.
Got a few good old games on there too, about 20 ebooks (MobiReader format)!
You can't get bored with this phone, however the C600 would have been nice (Windows Mobile 5) but i've got it, and thats that!0
