I have TTMobile (legal) on a C500 and it is amazing. No seperate system to be left in the car for theives.

The C550 is a convergence device; it combines phone, pda, mp3 player, and sat nav all in one. It is not the best at either of these (by a long way) but which device does the lot? The case for the defence rest, M'Lud.

If PAYG wasn't an essential requriement, wouldnt getting this phone on Orage contract for £115 with 100x-mins and 100txt each month for £115 from OnestopPhoneShop cashback be more valuable?

Or the C600 from OSPS is £100 via cashback for 1000mins offline?

You can't buy 2nd hand can't you?!! I got everything including the phone for under £160!!

You need to buy one, get one off ebay, make sure it has a UK Mains charger and Car charger, mine cost me £47 for all that from a power seller. Well worth it!... lol this is assuming you had tomtom but your own tomtom gps unit is no longer working and it would cost more to replace the tomtom unit.

Yep, it's nex_gensales his auctions may state Nokia, but mine worked with the c500. Search at Modaco.com for how to setup a third party bluetooth gps unit.

Extra Tip 1: You will need to rename the device to "TomTom Wireless GPS"
Extra Tip 2: Try to be outside away from your house walls when you tyr and set it up!

Tomtom state in their agreement with you that you cannot resell the software (i.e. secondhand); this is complete tosh as it is a restriction on you which, in law, is not fair. I contacted TT when I was selling my software and they seemed willing to allow the new owner to register the software as long as they had the original receipt. I then sold it (as I now have a pda) on eBay for £56! That was just the software.

£160 all in? A good deal that.....
