Is this selection? Ask him, it would make all the difference. As far as I'm aware selection involves going to one of the camps - not a hotel. Also they arent allowed to get drunk, they are training to join the army, go firgure!!!
Also if they both meant while training to join the army then the army would be the first place that girl would of looked to find out who he was. She would of known his full name.
This all sounds very odd. Fishier than it did from the beginning. You need to establish exactly what training he was on while in the process of signing up.
Agree it does sound fishy, however I just think the husband is being a little careful at not lying but not expanding into entire honesty. It sounds more like some boys planned alcohol weekend trip - the Army connection is possibly due to the selection also falling around that time and he recalls telling various people the same story all those years ago - hence why the girl would repeat it. As the marriage is already in a delicate situation, I would advise husband to be entirely truthful, but I do think we should stop putting thoughts into his wife's head which could lead her to question the marriage further.0 -
I don't think anyone is deliberately putting things into the wifes head. I am certainly not. But the facts need to surface to get the true answers.
How are people going to feel if, a paternity test isnt done, maintenance is paid for 10 years, a good relationship develops between all parties over the years. Child falls ill and needs organ or something, father volunteers, routine tests show he is not the childs father. How devastating would that be.
All this could be resolved for £200 odd quid.99.9% of my posts include sarcasm!Touch my bum :money:Tesco - £1000 , Carpet - £20, Barclaycard - £50, HSBC - £50 + Car - £1700SAVED =£0Debts - £28500 -
Just read all of this thread, and no offence intended to any party involved but if a woman who rolls into bed with drunken soilders is claiming to have your partners baby then I would really be wanting some proof that this is true.
He says he can't remember that night, who says she can remember? Maybe she spent the night talking and flirting with your other half but ended up in bed with someone else but only remembers the name of the person she spent most of the night talking too and so presumes it's him?
Come on £300 for a DNA test is nothing compared to £24,000.
Also being a father is far more than giving money, regardless of of the life the child has now he should be wanting to be all he can for that child, so again a DNA test would be needed for this.
This is such and odd situation, what's to stop this girls friend who was in the same place for those two nights claming she slept with him the night after and also has a child and wants £200 a month off you?
Looking for proof is the first thing that needs to be done here, for your sake, your other halfs sake, the childs and the mothers.0 -
Anyway, if your husband wanted to be in the childs life then the other women can't stop him, especially if shes going after manitenance.
Not true paying maintenance and having contact with the child are two seperate issues.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.

As i said before i dont really see it makes any difference how,why or where this happened it was before i knew him and quite frankly it has nothing to do with me. He's not lied about going and he wasnt telling her a story back then either. Like i have said previously she was on the same course so was also joining or looking to join the army i heard her say this so this is not a story hes telling me.
She did know his whole name the only reason she knew was because it was an army thing she never put in any claim until last year when she decided to claim benefits.
I dont think its my place to question, whatever the situation the outcome is still the same.
I agree we do need a DNA test. I find it a bit odd that she wasnt surprised he didnt remember her, has asked no questions or anything all a bit odd0 -

Yes from your side to. All sounds a bit far fetched to me. If they are telling porkies about where they met then what else they telling porkies about??
