right, the policeman from doc martin has just been bitten by a snake! i have to go LOL.i promise to post as soon as i get a response from seller & let you know if he ignore me too!Speak to you later.
  • I've also suffered a failed Paypal chargeback to the tune of £23 due to the fact that the seller hadn't got the funds in his account. He was a huge con artist and I was amongst many that lost their money.

It wasn't pleasant and I was angry but I had to put it down to experience. He was also NARU'ed so I didn't get the chance to even leave a neg.
However, he did continue to set up accounts and when I found one I reported and he did continue to get NARU'ed.

I know exactly how you feel and I totally sympathise. Unfortunately I can't see you getting any further with your grievance with the seller. The only thing you can do now is leave a neg (to warn future buyers) and report him as a non seller. I would then personally put it down down to experience and move on. It's just not worth the stress.

aye, I think thats the best move but i will give him the benefit of doubt and at least give him chance to reply to my email. Obviously if I get no response then i shall leave a neg and move on.

    thanks for your advice.

If not click my account & then click resoloution center tab and then alter option to show closed or all disputes.

We have completed our investigation of this case. We have refused this claim and a refund will not be issued. The seller was able to provide tracking information confirming that the item was delivered to you.

Hmm. Very odd. If the seller did indeed send it via standard delivery with a proof of postage (certificate of posting), this is usually rejected by Paypal's seller protection since it doesn't provide a tracking number. Maybe the seller gave Paypal a fake tracking number. Plus the seller would have no chance of getting seller protection if eBay found out about the fee surcharges on the listing.

It could be that the seller has withdrawn any funds from his/her paypal account and therefore paypal was unable to recover any funds, and Paypal has just sent you a standard template email.

If you paid by credit card and the amount is significant enough, then you may be able to do a chargeback with them.

Did you go to paypal straight away without talking to the seller first?

i.e. giving him/her a chance to sort it out?

It's not the sellers fault if royal mail have lost it.
You should give the seller the chance to sort it out first before going to paypal.

Sorry if I've misunderstood but the way I read it you didn't give the seller a chance to sort it.

I have not recieved anything yet and I also emailed him last night. I have gone to Paypal resolution area and all it shows me is what I wrote when I initially contacted paypal.

    Thanks very much.

Thanks Charlie but he has been selling on Ebay since so im assuming there are funds ? The amount was only a couple of quid, but its not the amount i paid its the fact that I paid up immediately after auction ended and here I am with nothing to show for it. Im pleased it was only a couple of quid though lol

lisyloo, I sent the seller approx 3 emails, I got a response initially saying he would look into it. When it still didnt arrive I reckon I sent him a further 5 emails which he didnt reply to. The last email I sent I gave him 24 hrs to contact me but he didnt so thats why I filed a dispute....I think I gave him plenty of time to sort it out.

    thanks everyone :xmassmile

Ask paypal and him to provide you with the tracking number, that supposedly shows delivery.

Definately leave a neg, I would say along the lines

Item not recieved, no refund given no tracking number given when asked for, I allowed plenty of time to resolve issue, seller has failed. No doubt seller will now do retaliatory neg feedback!

I'm not sure if you are allowed to write that much, but that's what I would write. Also to avoid recieving a neg from the seller you could leave feedback on the last day of the 60 days in the last hour. He may not get you back!

he still hasnt replied . yes i would agree, ask paypal for tracking info(bet they send a stupid automatic response telling you nothing about what you are actually asking!). yes, wait 90 days before leaving feedback. Also get a dispute on ebay going so you can read his response http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?inrCreateDispute .so i would get going with that.
