Has anyone seen any Marfona on their travels? We love them as they make jacket spuds that are so creamy you don't need butter.0

You know when you see seed potatoes about at this time of year? If I want to plant some soon and a different veriety for harvesting later in the year, do I need to buy the seed potatoes now cos last year I couldn't get any for planting later in the season after about Feb. If I do need to buy them now, how would I store them?0

It's down to the different tyes - the "early" ones are ready in 12 -14 weeks and the "maincrops" take longer to be ready
If you don't want to plant them yet, keep them in a dark cool but not frosty place until you want to plant them, though they might start to sprout eventually.
look at the website smk77 mentioned - it's very clearJust call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
Hello - Also thinking of doing some this year, just thinking it would use a lot of compost? Do you think its worth doing? I see lots of ads in the papers today for potatoe sack things - but I already have quite a few containers so maybe I should just use those?0

For me there stlil an excitement when I'm lifting the spuds (sad I know)
and I love going out in the garden, picking things and cooking them straight away. New potatoes are definitely worth it
