As founder member of the MMSSB I say in firm and best teacher voice, 'the box should be put up on the highest shelf in the tallest cupboard away from prying eyes and naughty children.'

Stll giggling sarah - DS1 is nearly 6ft, and DS2 is about 6ft2. So, I'm the one who can't reach the highest shelf!!!:rotfl:

  • Menolly - lovely story, thank you for sharing.

Gryfon - don't think of what you haven't done, think of what you have done! Which I'm sure is a lot more than you think. :D Apart from which, if you have a hurty back etc, you probably shouldn't be doing that much anyway!

  • OK. Dinner nearly ready. DH will be on kitchen duty coz I want to go to A & P as it's so hard to catch up if you miss.

Can anyone tell me where I would find the filter on my Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine? As it's not visible from the front, I think that'll be a DH weekend jobs list job! (Along with a trip to the tip with the cardboard recycling and a few other bits and bobs.

Pink Fairy...on mine it's around the back, take the back off and you should see some pipes and it's in there. Hard to explain though! I found about £1.50 in change, some screws, screwdriver bits, hairbands, manky plastic and eventually a washable breastfeeding pad :rotfl:

Emptied a wicker box in the bathroom, junked most of it and took it away from bathroom.

Can't get in kitchen as OH is cupboard making and sawing and drilling.

Really want to tackle our bedroom, argh, there's tons to do.

Menolly Thak you for sharing that.

PinkFairy. I have a Hotpoint First Edition. Mine is at the front. At the very bottom of the machine is a panel I lift off and the filter is on the right.

Beccah - is that Newport, Gwent? :hello:.

Yep I'm in lovely Casnewydd .....really hope that I spelt that right, especially as I've lived here for 20 years. Eeek that makes me feel old, though I was only 8 when I moved here!

Survived shopping with the devil children.Having them with me gave me licence to indulge my inner christmas elf and we came home with Santa hats with jingle bells on, singing chipmonks, beautiful wire raindeer ornaments and far too many rolls of wrapping paper. Had to make it a bit of a military operation as nephew felt very unwell after an hour so we hurried home for him to curl up on the sofa.

Tuesday Twinkles - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
[STRIKE]Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs[/STRIKE] Just finished after nephew woke up
    Level 2
[STRIKE]Dusting, even if around everything [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean windows and all glass.. including the tv screen[/STRIKE] Downstairs only but its a start.
Clear the mantel and only put back the items which are supposed to be there.. and that doesn't include letters, keys or other treasure!
    Level 3
    [STRIKE]Wipe and water plants[/STRIKE]
Put all your hotspots in one pile and work your way through it..
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
Extra Mission: Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    1. Open the drawer where you stuff all your junk.. especially the stuff from the pc desk.. sort it and shred it!! .. you know who you are!!!
    2. Wipe down any paintwork that needs it.
    3. Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    4. Wash any cushions, throws or curtains that need it
Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative!

Just in the middle of doing a load of school work. May manage to do some of my list later although I can't guarantee it as I've got papers everywhere at the moment!
