    Post first and read later!

    Morning all (just)

    waiting for Asda shopping.

One load of washing blowing round on the line. The sun is nice but it doesn't half show up the dirt in the house :(

    Vacuumed right through downstairs.

Went to Argos to pick up something DD2 had reserved.

Got out my garden brush and pushed the stuff down in the wheelie bin so I could get the old bathroom cabinet in and still leave room for the next week of rubbish. Tidied up the shed after DH had been in there.

    Still waiting for Asda.....

Well, I have done a little bit. Rearranged our room, think it'll be better this way. But the kids drawers in their room, had a fight with my wardrobe trying to get it shifted(had to lift it to put the foot thingy back on and it nearly fell on me). One load of washing done and in dryer. Dry clothes folded(will put them away in a minute)

Need to get DS2 dressed (again) for creche and find my maths file.

  • Afternoon All :hello: And welcome to any newbies!

Can someone please have a stern word with the part of my brain that decided it would be a good idea to get slaughtered last night!!!  Still hungover, and more shattered than usual. What was I thinking?

LR is is pretty good shape from the weekend's whizzing. Stairs and landing done by Mr Shattered on Sun. So I'm going to hit the sofa and sleep till school run time. What an idiot.

:hello:To all the newbies! Please can I suggeest that you don't carry tasks over, as it can get discouraging when you first start flying. The rooms will all come round next week, and then you'll get a little further on each time you do them! My top tip? Keep on with the decluttering - and find a home for everything! (Yes, I'm still working on that one).

Quite pleased with this morning, although I still don't seem to have crossed off a whole list. I added in the cloakroom, so I've done the whole ground floor in two hours.

Lovely bright sunshine here, after three days of horrible weather. I'm stuck indoors waiting for a delivery (promised before 1pm - yeah, right.) This afternoon I'm going to pick up the boys' Christmas present - they've talked me in to giving them one third of a Playstation 3 for Christmas, they've found a good bundle from Argos, although I have to go to two separate stores to collect all the different bits of the offer! I have told them several times that they are not allowed to touch it for another 44 days (is that right pigpen?!) and I'm hoping they remember that...

Guess who went to Tesco to get food for child coming to tea tonight and then went the Wii section!!! I came home with a second nunchuck and the play game with the handset included (thanks to whoever suggested that....no brain cells means I can't remember who did!!). I then bought the advent calenders and a couple of selection boxes. Guess what...no food bought for tea! I'll have to go out again. Going to have some lunch and then hhc 130 till 2 if anyone wants to join in xx

I went into town and they announced the silence over the tannoy. Most people stopped, although one numpty was getting text messages and someone was wheeling a pushchair but it was, on the whole, very quiet.

Glad you enjoyed the poem. It's a very "special" day for so many in many different ways. Thank you all for sharing.

I agree with Orkney Star's sentiments.

Mudbath - hope Tesco's not too far from you. Our nearest shop is a serious drive so I get really annoyed with myself when I forget things - happens quite often too...
Lunch is next here, have a good afternoon all xx

Can I ask how much they are Mudbath - mine want another 2 for Christmas. Having said that the wii died last night. This happened once before and we tried it with a friend's power supply and it righted itself. Think I'll take it back to game and see what they say.
