    Hi guys

Pink, thanks for sharing the above although you have set me off crying again. I'm finding today much harder than previous 11/11. I think it is because of starting my family tree I now know of a great great uncle who died in WWI. Obviously most of us will have relatives who fought but it is knowing the name of one, now knowing where he lays in peace, seeing his war record card that makes it so much more personal. My Mum lost her Dad to WWII, he only saw her once and I know it has greatly affected the person she is today.

Maybe some flying will help me.

Please can you try not to post between 11:00-11:02 as a mark of respect?

Pigpen what a busy week, please make sure you take time for yourself.

If i've missed anyone i'm sorry still trying to catch up with the thread.

DS2 off school today he's been really coughing in his sleep last night and all day yesterday at school (he's still in bed now) so been up and down all night.
Was hoping to get on with flying today but think hubby has other ideas, need to bake a cake today for tomorrow and managed to change DD's boombox yesterday so HSM has been on all yesterday evening and them all dancing.

Finally sorted out a santa list so need to start working on that as well.

Right hubby calling so better go, will update later what i've managed to get done.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Hello all
Back after a week off, failed my driving test (boo) but there's always next time I suppose. Got home to find that my boyf had left the flat in a state, despite me asking him to at least leave it vaguely tidy. Huuuuge long list to do today, as well as a 1000 word essay to get started.
Hugs to everyone who needs them today, I know it is an emotional day for many people.

Thank you DK. I agree it would be good to avoid posting. I am currently recording BBC1 but want to go into town so that I can observe the silence in company! Sorry i made you cry, but it's lovely and so touching. You are right, having a name makes it very personal. Mum had a cousin who went down with his ship and Grandad was in the RAF.

Bah! I've just put the wooden shelves I moved from my room into the kitchen so all the boxes and stuff which are on the floor can be stacked until I find time to sort through them all. Mr G just came down from having a nap because his chest hurts and said "oh we're not having the shelves there again are we?" So he's been told that when he sorts all the boxes out then he can moan! I need somewhere for all these boxes and piles to go which isn't my kitchen floor or table.

    Grrrrr I'm peed now
