:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Still in 'honeymoon' mode then? Well done you!

(That old joke...you know the honeymoon's over when...)

crazy i know, especially as he has seen me give birth x2 so obviously seen worse, but there you go, i'm shy :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway, so there is some flying, the WM is on with my towels from the bathroom, DS1's bed is all stripped again so the frame can air, i had a clothes airer shuffle to help it dry quicker, the next load of washing is sorted, and DH has taken DS1 to nursery for me again, and caught the quicker of the 2 cats and got him in the box for me. He normally climbs inside our rocking chair part of the settee and coils round the mechanism and is a bit of a PITA to get out, so thankfully thats done. BEst go clean my teeth and see if DS2 has any intention of waking up after waking us up at 2:30.
  • :hello: and welcome avonlea - ooooh, that was the name of my great-grandaddy's old house - baby steps to start and happy flying

I'm out for most of today with 2 fire fighting/investigating courses then a potentially explosive meeting this after. We get to play with all of the fire extinguishers and freeze our buttskis off :D (on the plus side, there are the firemen ;) )

Will also get to spend some quality time with a dear friend who has had a year of hell, without having her baby there - that way we can have a good rant about her ex without the risk of upsetting the wee one

Will see what time I get back later to decide if I fly or just flutter - will enlist DH methinks to help and get jobs done twice as quick

    Laters gaters

    I'd rather be watching CSI!
  • Good morning all! 7 deg here with gale force winds and heavy showers - I know coz I just took DD to her car share pick up point, wrapped up like a flippin' Innuit! :p

Welcome to any newbies/returns to the place that will save your sanity (or send you totally over the edge) :D:D:D:D:D

Soappie - for goodness sake! DD said she was so busy at work yesterday that she didn't even get a lunch break, but I told her to remember at 11 today, even if she takes it as a "loo break"!

Cheapskate - any achievement, however small, is exactly that! An achievement. The greatest journey begins with one small step. You will find that as you begin to get on top of things, it becomes easier to keep things that way!:D

My favourite character was Parsley the Lion, although I also loved Dill the Dog! :o

Gryfon - that work bench is super. Lucky you. When we get the study finished there will be a work table there for me to do my crafty stuff!:j

Oooooooooh Valli - did I detect a note of sarcasm in your comments, perhaps relating to a certain individual elsewhere in this wondrous community (but not one of us!!!)

Pigpen - hope you are feeling better this morning

TAG- hugs to you in your stressful situation

Did anyone see a news report last night (may have been on the One Show) with two young lads meeting their Great Grandmother - who they didn't know existed???:eek::mad: She was telling them about relatives who had died in the wars, and, although I missed the beginning, DH said the reporter had asked them if they knew when the First World War was and they didn't. What History are our young people being taught? Obviously not British. The second part of the story is tonight and I believe they were being taken to France. Should be interesting viewing. My two know loads of British history, as do my DB's children, but surely that shouldn't just be from parental interest?

Avonlea - I love the Anne of Greengables Stories!

By for now, just doing the WE drop off for DS.

I so don't want to go in today :o I've woken up with face ache. I don't know whether its from grinding my teeth in the night (I was dreaming about trying to teach Literacy to kids last night and getting questioned by Of***d about something and I told them all the things that are wrong in my opinion about education today :rotfl: ), toothache or the flu from last week turning into sinusitis. Best get on as I've just noticed the time :eek::eek:
