emily, top of the steps of the cathedral tower, are you mad???? I get 4 steps up or something and have to come down :o

I know, it's like 300 odd steps, isn't it :rotfl: Mind you I'd do it again for the view. I love looking at old buildings, in particular catherdrals and churches. The architecture is SO beautiful in a lot of them. When I was a child I got so fed up of being dragged round them and now I want to return to them armed with a digital camera!

I used to love the charity shops in Durham as well becuase they were filled with books
  • Triker go walking hun - it's good for you

KAAT - I agree, this forum is really friendly and supportive

TAG - Go you - can I hire you and Mr TAG - we have an unfinished hallway, porch, bathroom - h*ll make it the whole house to decorate :rotfl:
  • I'm getting distracted by memories and need to get on with flying! By the way, hope everyone is well and welcome newbies/returners. My computer was playing up last night so I couldn't post  . Managed to get some Xmas shopping done though. Also, spent time with my friend, washed up, and emptied bins. Was too tired to do anything else

So far today i've showered and had a lie-in :o My aims for the rest of the day are to do laundry, errands and tidy up

    :hello:

I'm doing very little as well, just gone one load of washing to get out and I'm cooking some bolognaise sauce to freeze for later in the week.

Feeling a bit despondant at the house at the moment. No energy and my body is letting me down by breaking...grrrr!

Ok I have a question...do you ever feel guilty about asking your other half for help? I know I shouldn't feel guilty as I'm struggling at the moment with this bad back but I do! I think it could be because he doesn't seem to think that things need doing so he'll only clear the surface for example when he's cooking.

So I feel bad when I ask him to do things as for things like watching the children, going shopping for me and doing various DIY jobs he's great! And now he's started back at work again. Maybe I'm just jealous that he can go to work and enjoy himself there whereas I'm stuck at home in a s**t heap :(

Any wise words for me? The doctor said to avoid housework but with three children and a big house that's fairly unacheiveable!

Gryfon - have a hug hun and don't feel guilty - I'm assuming they are his kids his watching, food he will eat too that he is buying, his home he is fixing with the DIY. I am a right one for feeling guilty too but I bet he doesn't feel guilty when you iron his shirts, cook his dinner or go to the supermarket. Right now you simply can't do these things. And by the way:
